Experimenting with selective colour

I forgot to mark this up. It was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II, not long after I first got it. I took it out into our local woods to get a feel for how it worked. This is just a grab-shot of my daughter, but when I got it back, I thought I'd have a go at some selective colour work as an experiment.

Looks an impressive place.  I don't think I have every been there.  Foxton locks are interesting if you are ever up that way.

I have heard good reports about the panorama function on the i-Phones.

Windows should be banned under some sort of health law. I needed to use it because by shitty US broker's site needs to. I'm 30 mins in now and still no closer to being able to look at my statements. Pop-up after pop-up about upgrading this, updating that, restart this, restart that..... I need to install some bollox to be able to read a file and every feckin thing I try tries to install more bollox like an IE toolbar or a game centre or bollox security nonsense!!!! arghhh!!!!!!

Found some new TTS voices in Lion. Not far off having things read to you automatically - watch out audio book voice-over artists. Although the Irish-Enlish voice needs a little work!

35 unattended mins later and everything is transfered from the old MBP to the new MBA and it's in full working order - gotta love Apple for making this so easy. NO WAY that would have gone so smoothly on Windows.

Getting to grips with the new gestures - loving them.

Geekbench scores exceeding top end MBPs from the 2010 Core i7 refresh.

I'm one happy bunny.

Mac Lion update:
- A total crash once
- Got stuck in a loop switching accounts once
- 1 billion requests to run an app in parental mode that I have already given permission to run countless times before..

Lived in Marlow for 5 years and never been. Popped in last night and was pleasantly surprised. Had a great burger and listened to live music. Would go again.

The food is a disgrace. Baked potatoes are microwaved. Corn on the cob is boiled to a paste. Burgers are a rubbery mess. I could go on. Why people put up with this crap is beyond me.

So much bigger that it looks from the outside, you have a traditional pub section and then around the back a large airy restaurant section. Great food and service. Kids meals were fantastic too (not frozen, fried rubbish). Loved it.

Great food. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for and they do fantastic lunch deals too.
