if i were a dick i would probably start sending out DMCA notices. but i have to take a moment of admiration to see one of my photos end up as the back drop to a video of one of my favorite bands.

preparing for our GIS talk at MCN got me itching to play with maps again. so this needs a map key still, but its the US in 1790. Population density is represented by shades of blue, and the amount of slaves owned is represented by shades of red. the two layers have an opacity of 70% so areas with higher slave to population ratios combine to make shades of purple
