Here's a must-see for anyone interested in the future of energy. It subtly shows the evil of government control over the basic human need for energy and provides an alternative path towards energy sustainability. It's long (almost two hours) and has some disagreeable vignettes with medal-clad war-mongers, but the protagonist (Kirk) is promoting a future based on the private development of Thorium-based nuclear future for cheap energy.
There's a great lecture in the middle where he explains the sordid history of nuclear power and how the government sold out the goodwill of the people in their quest of war and domination.
Lots of chemistry and physics.
