We loved our room, beautiful view and nice staff. Close to great food and fun shopping. Free concert in the park on Thurday evening. Music was great.

Beautiful hotel but not great for work trips. Some of the hotel policies are a little crazy, like them charging you for your first night stay when you make your reservation, or their cancellation policy being eight days out. Unheard of! Also, all the rooms are adjoining to another room, but they aren't double-doors so it's like staying at a relative's house with only one door in between you and the other people. You can hear everything. Not great unless you want both rooms, then it would be awesome. I was pretty grumpy about the policies mentioned above when I arrived, not very subtle about it, and the hotel staff was extremely nice and accommodating and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. They even put my receipt under my door (which they normally don't do - you have to go to the front desk or have it emailed) just because I made a passing comment about the inconvenience in my grumbling. As far as the staff service level, it was a five star resort. As long as the room layout/adjoining situation and the hotel policies about cancellation and booking were understood, I might recommend this hotel. I might even stay there again, just maybe not for work where I need to have one room and get a good night's sleep and get up early without knowing who was in the other room. Like I said though, the hotel décor was beautiful and the staff were excellent.

Dear Ms. Simmons, Thanks for your remarks on our property, the accommodations and the staff. I am particularly thrilled to read that the staff went above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please note that we do have several Suites that do not have adjoining rooms to alleviate that concern - just ensure that you communicate the request in advance so we can make every attempt to accommodate it. Regarding, the policies, you are correct that they are atypical especially when compared to a brand hotel chain. But as a boutique condo-hotel, we have actually more lenient polices than most in our market, which typically included full payment at least 30-days out and no-refunds. We initially had this policy too, but in time we have adapted to guest feedback like yours so thank you again for your remarks. Anyways, we would love to welcome you back in the near future. This property is amazing! The suites are massivly impressive; and the private deck hot tubs have sparked the idea of needing one at home. Parking is easy and great restaurants are within easy walking distance. This is becoming our Park City location of choice!

The hotel is really nice located. Lots of restaurantes and other shops. The rooms was nice, the fireplace gave it a nice touch. The pool area is really nice. It would be nice to have breakfast included.

Thanks for the feedback, especially about breakfast. It helps us determine what guests are interested in seeing from us. With four independent restaurants in the hotel, two offering breakfast, we may be able to see what partnership can be arranged to offer a breakfast included rate in the future. But if I am honest, when we explore such rates/packages we have found the quality of food for the price paid (buried in the rate) just isn't satisfying - literally and figuratively. And with kitchenette and/or well-equipped kitchens in every room, travelers can choose to eat in or dine out. We also have 5+ coffee shops within walking distance. The power to choose is one of Newpark Resort's key advantages in Park City. Regardless, thank you again!! Enjoy the Journey, Chris Eggleton, General Manager

Had a serious mess in room from previous people staying in our room and was told it would be cleaned right away the next day and couldn't switch our rooms to being fully booked. So we were nice about the situation when most would probably loose their lid about how serious the mess really was. We were gone most of the day and came back to our room that had the sign that it was "cleaned" and the issue was still there... So we called back down for cleaner to be brought up and we would clean it our selfs and the house keeper came up with only rags no cleaner and no smell of cleaner after she "cleaned" the mess up. I am giving 3 stars because it is a beautiful hotel the front desk girl the night of the issue helped us as much as she could with it being late and for the nice restaurant devices below. They gave us "13%" off our stay which was not very much and proves being nice about a serious issue gets you no where. For what we paid for the room we expected the situation to be handled a little better especially for how calm we were about it. If handled better I would give 5 stars hands down.

The Newpark Resort couldn't be more perfect. Michelle at the front desk got us checked in early after a long red-eye which was awesome and our room couldn't be better. I come to Park City 3-5 times per year for work and with family and this is by far the nicest accommodation we have stayed at yet. Perfect for families especially with a full kitchen (including range); a stones throw to whole foods (literally) and the rail trail right out the back. I'd give it six stars if I could.

Took my kids for a quick fun trip. Staff was wonderful, the rooms were nice and clean and the heated pool was great! The location was perfect too. We will be staying here again for sure

I stayed here because we were having a conference here and it was booked automatically. The hotel is nice enough, the room I had was decent. The layout is a little bizarre and don't expect to have access to services a normal hotel would offer. The customer service is laughable. We actually tried to cancel the reservations before we flew into Park City, but in we called just north of 20 times to try and cancel but it went to voicemail everytime. Finally, we left a voicemail and we recieved a prompt call back . . . the next morning around 6:30am. Once we arrived we realized that the guest services were not going to improve. We asked the front desk if the hotel had a shuttle service and they said "yes" and called what we thought was a hotel shuttle . . . NOPE. They called a cab for us which is ok but before we got in the cab we told the front desk that we think there was confussion because we thought we were getting a shuttle and they said "yeah we called the cab" which prompted us to ask if they knew what a shuttle is . . . they said "no". wtf. Lastly, the conference that we attended finished at 1pm and so a late check-out would be neat. NOPE. Just another great service that we couldnt get at this weird hotel. There's got to be better options.

Dear Mr. B, Thank you for your review of Newpark Resort. First, I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your experience in several regards. We failed to deliver acceptable response times to you voicemail(s), and for that I am sorry. We have no excuses. As for the confusion on the shuttle - in Park City, the transportation options vary. Our Hotel doesn't offer any complimentary shuttles as the entire community has a free transit system (a bus network) that can transport people anywhere in town within 15-30 minutes. There are also paid transportation services - shuttles, cabs, Uber, Lyft, etc. I spoke with our Front Desk Associate, whom assumed that you wanted a shuttle (in Park City most cabs = "shuttles" for the 4WD aspects). It was an honest mistake - our staff isn't as incompetent as you imply. Regarding the negotiated aspects of the stay as part of a group, occasionally the conference/group coordinator can arrange for such requests as late check out, but in this instance it wasn't arranged. You ought to provide that suggestion to your coordinator for future conferences. Unfortunately, we had many arrivals on the day of your departure, so we were unable to accommodate anything beyond noon that was requested the day of. We do offer luggage storage and complimentary day use of all the hotels amenities in such instances. My apologies again and thank you for your comments - although derogatory, your remarks will help us improve in the future. Regards, Chris Eggleton, General Manager
