I have made a decision to stop posting to this blog. Rocky is doing so well, that there just isn't much to post any more. But, I will continue to talk about him on my other blog Ila's Ramblings . If you want to keep up with what's happening with Rocky, come...

When entering locations that occur before 1776, should they all be entered as "(state) British Colony of America" instead of a state and USA?

I think it is a matter of preference. Some people put in the current location for mapping purposes but then add a not as to what the past location was.

We have a stinky bathroom sink. Do you have any "cures" for that. LOL Too bad changing soaps won't help with this.

I'm glad to learn that making my own laundry soap Isn't such a good idea. Now I have a reason for not doing it. LOL
I have a secret confession, I am cheap. Yep, call it what you want: frugal, penny pincher, worried about the almighty dollar or any other name summed up my desire to save money. Maybe it stemed from the checking account low o...

Nope no cures except for matches. Kind of makes one feel better that homemade laundry soap is a no go.

Strong enough to curl your nose hairs!!!

Stormy Weather, There's no sun up in the sky, stormy weather!
Yesterday morning

Late yesterday afternoon I heard the whirr of a Hummingbird's wings over the baby monitor. It was pouring rain outside, and the Hummingbird was either on the back porch, or close enough to the baby monitor that it triggered the microphone. I heard it twice.

Hubby wondered if it was trying to tell him he needed a feeder back there so when it rained they could eat without having to deal with the water.

I have asked a similar question before, but I think this one is significantly different to ask.

Would the location for all dates before 1776 be (state) British Colony of America instead of (state) and United States? I think technically this would be correct.

Thank you Michael. Did not know that, course that's why I asked the question. LOL I see that in order to be correct, I need to do some research into place names. Always something new to learn.

I presently use a Swiffer wet pad to clean my kitchen floor. I am thinking about trying something else. Have any of you tried the Swiffer Wet Jet or a similar product? I've also thought about a steam mop of some kind. What experiences have you had with either or both products?

Woke up about 3:00 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Guess I must have had a guilty conscience. I tried not to wake hubby up and I guess I did that pretty well because he didn't get up until after 4:00. He said Rocky was jumping on the bed, but I didn't notice it.

We've been there several times. The decor is an old time drug store. It's always been very clean, busy most of the time, food good, and service is good considering how busy they are. No negative comments at all about it.

We have eaten there numerous times. Everything has always been great. It wasn't very busy the times we were there since we tend to go early, like about 5:00. They also do a lot of carry outs. I really hope this restaurant stays in business.
