The Durban-based businesswoman Nomfundo Mcoyi of the Icebolethu Funeral Group owns a funeral business that has now expanded to the UK and Zimbabwe. Nomfundo is a visionary and an award-winning Finalist in the South African National Premier Business Awards in 2013 in the Women Business Owned Category. She has travelled the globe in pursuit of knowledge on industry related information sharing sessions such as Asia Funeral Directors Expo in Hong Kong in 2012, 2013 and recently in 2014. She also attended TANEXPO Funeral Expo in Bologna France in May 2014 and has been featured in the Destiny Magazine June 2016

Bonita Field
Started her Journey with the KZN Business Bank team in July 2015. She joins the Business Banking team from Coverage South Africa where she held the position of Head: Coverage SA. Bonita’s career spans over 26 years mainly in financial services, of which most were spent in various positions within Absa. TIKZN has commissioned Lindon Consulting to investigate and obtain first-hand information on the reasons for and impact of disinvestments that have taken place in KZN over the period 2010 – 2016 and to identify sectors that are especially vulnerable to business closures. It is hoped that this assessment would reveal key factors that are leading to disinvestments and would enable TIKZN to craft appropriate mitigation strategies to reduce business closures.

TIKZN has signed an MOU with strategic partners viz DAC, DCC and DCTC to collaborate on the development and implementation of the KZN Early Warning System which is intended to monitor business indicators of key firms in KZN on a quarterly basis. The information collated is confidential and therefore will not be disclosed to 3rd parties. TIKZN will be commencing with the process of stakeholder consultations, marketing and profiling the Early Warning System during August and September 2017.
