I originally shared this post in 2014 as Santa Cruz California and the surrounding areas were experiencing intense drought. Well here we are in 2017 and the threat of fire season once again makes this wisdom very relevant. For the sake of time, the number 2 listed below in the image represents one of the
14 STEPS recommended by Cal Fire to protect your home from wild fires as we head into summer of 2017. Number 2 is Roof & Gutter Cleaning, a service that Pure Light Window & Gutter Cleaning service has been providing here locally in Santa Cruz, Ca. for the last 18 years. Estimates are always free, don't wait give us a call today 831 227-7900 www.purelightwindowcleaning.com

ROOF AND GUTTER CLEANING APTOS, RIO DEL MAR CA.

Homes throughout Rio Del Mar and Aptos, are surrounded by very lush and wooded areas with lots of foliage. It’s actually quite a special place to live being so close to the beach and yet being surrounded at times with a true country and mountain feel. Many Aptos homes are hidden away in very small communities amidst thriving Redwood, Eucalyptus and Pine forests. Living amidst this rich beauty, makes roof and gutter cleaning an essential part of your homes maintenance. Roof clearing, is a service that insures your roof top is clean and free of fallen debris. This is always the first step before cleaning out gutters and downspouts. Not only is roof clearing and gutter cleaning essential for winter preparations, but is also highly recommended by Cal-Fire to create a defensible space around your home in the event of a wild fire. Aptos and Rio Del Mar home owners should expect to have their roof and rain gutters cleaned at least once annually. Homes located up places like Trout Gulch Rd, Valencia Rd, Aptos Creek Rd and Vienna Rd may prefer to have their roof and gutters cleaned twice annually as part of their homes maintenance. Again, living in these heavily forested areas’ makes roof and gutter cleaning especially important, not only because of potential water damage, but wild fire preparations.
As we head into winter 2017-18, Aptos and Rio Del Mar home owners can expect our first rains to once again show up around October. What type of winter we will experience is another issue. Up to 2014, Aptos, Rio Del Mar and the rest of the State experienced unrelenting drought. 2015, brought about what Meteorologists called a “Goliath El Nino” which not only brought heavy rains but a few powerful storms as well. While 2016 was predicted by NOAA to bring about a “La Nina” winter, few expected the huge rain fall that would follow. This year’s forecast is yet to be revealed, but one thing is certain, winter is coming. Pure light Window & Gutter Cleaning Service is proud to have served Aptos, Rio Del Mar and the entire Santa Cruz County with professional Roof and Gutter Cleaning since 1999. We love our community and are here to serve you.
