The hotel is very nice. But the customer service is awful. My last night there I ordered room service. a couple of hours after eating, what was the only meal I had eaten that day, I started getting very sick. Turns out I had gotten food poisoning from the food I ordered. When I called the complain about it the first girl I talked to said, "What exactly do you want me to do about it? Its not like I can make you feel better." That was strike number one. Then She transferred me to someone else and after talking to them I was told that they were too busy at that time and there was nothing they could do about it. they wouldn't even comp my $20 meal. Needless to say after I had been throwing up for hours and then I got this response I was not very happy. So while the amenities of the hotel are very nice the customer service is some of the worst I have ever had at a hotel.

There is always room for improvement, but this place is pretty close to perfect. We scored a great room (actually a 'suite') and the room exceeded our expectations. Our only complaint/observation was the cheap and rather unfitting shower head. We also embellished in a spa treatment. The resort's SPA services continued to exceed out expectations... the Peppermill has an INCREDIBLE spa service and accommodations. I rarely give out 5 stars. This place nearly makes the cut. Highly recommended.

Easily the nicest, cleanest, and most "Vegas" casino/hotel in Reno (and Northern Nevada). Several good outlets on-site, a very popular nightclub, and the architecture/building themes are very well done. Also found the pool to be very elegant (though it is somewhat small).

The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms are fairly spacious. If you like the old English style of rooms, then you will love this place. The room has a kind of Queen Victorian feel to it. I liked the full wall mirror that expands behind the beds. The view from my room overlooked the outdoor pool area and gave a great perspective of the surrounding Reno landscape during the fall season. I did have a tech issue with the TV set's sound. An A/V tech came up within a few minutes and got the problem fixed. I called the front desk and asked for some kind of comp for the inconvenience. I figured they would say No, but it never hurts to ask, right? Well, they were generous enough to offer a $25 comp towards room service. So I ordered an Angus burger and chocolate shake. The shake was way too thin, even though I requested extra thick. The burger was 1/2 pound and cooked perfectly. If you looking for a good place for an affordable room in Reno, I don't think you'd be disappointed with this place.

Will never stay at the Peppermill again. Rooms are very nice and food in the various restaurants is decent. The smoke smell is terrible throughout the casino. After a couple of hours in the casino we both experienced terrible headaches and troubles breathing. Went back to our non smoking room to recuperate and our clothes, hair were so saturated with cigarette smoke it stunk up our room for hours. The sound proofing is terrible. The last two times we stayed we had neighbors from hell. First room the Villa Suite with a separate bedroom. Thank goodness we could close the door to block off the sound from 2 loud obnoxious women and their out of control kids next to us. They all must of been on speed. Womens voices non stop, you would of thought each one was at the end of a football field trying to yell at each other. Last room we rented was a Penthouse room. Very nice. Long 8 hour drive and 45 minute check in. Very tired and looking for a hot shower and a little time to relax. What did we get?? About 30 adults in a room just down the hall screaming and yelling with their door wide open partying. Went to the room to ask them to keep it down and close their door. Response was we are here to party so tough luck. Called security and Nothing WAS DONE. We left our room to get away from the constant yelling and dreaded coming back to the room and this was a penthouse. Got back and the party had stopped except our room smelled of skunk. We could hear the peoples TV in the room where you have the adjoining door and we could hear them talking. They were not being loud but they might as well have been in the room with us. Went over to the adjoining door and at the bottom of the door was a gap about 3 inches from the bottom of the door to the floor. Turns out the smell was them smoking pot. Once again we are forced to close the door to the bedroom and stay in there and waste the rest of our space. Twice in a row now in expensive rooms just did us in for ever returning to the Peppermill.
