Groovy atmosphere, great BBQ. Got the pulled pork sandwich which came with home-made BBQ potato chips and slaw. The house BBQ sauce is awesome! Wait staff were all super nice and accommodating from start to finish. Will definitely be coming back here for more BBQ and live music!!!

Great bbq/southern style food find! Deviled eggs and crab bites were absolutely delicious, we devoured them. We chased the apps down with a delicious bloody mary! The pulled pork sandwich was falling out of the bun with a side of bbq chips and cold slaw that was cliche fingerlicking good. The fried chicken had a flavor that brought my boyfriend back to bourbon st!!

So happy the old chef is back. Food is back to being fantastic and the music only makes the experience so much sweeter. I personally love the fried chicken I think everyone should try it atleast once

Black-Eyed Sally’s – Hartford, CT – 5/15/2016 For quite some time my brother-in-law has been telling me about Sally’s and for one reason or another I always found myself in other areas. Tonight would be different since we had tickets to a venue in the area… The hosted was super friendly and we were promptly seated… The first thing they bring out us their house made corn bread… That cornbread was absolutely out of this world! And this is from a guy that doesn’t even like cornbread!… So good is the cornbread in fact that as I sit here waiting for my barbecue to come out, my mouth is watering… And for dinner… SALLY’S BAR-B-QUE… Served with red beans and rice… I opted for the house made Barbecue Potato Chips… St. Louis Pork Ribs- “Our famous ribs are dusted with Sally’s dry rub for 24 hours then slow smoked over Hickorywood. We then finish them on the grill with a touch of our BBQ sauce” With each serving that arrives at the table all I can hear are the words oh my God… Oh my God… This was my first time to Sally’s of what undoubtedly will be many… The food was amazing. And at $35.00 for two people before tip with plenty for both it’s a total bargain!

Amazing soul food. Really enjoyed the chicken and waffles. My wife hates barbecue sauce and isn't a fan of brisket but she loved her brisket sandwich here. Sally has done the impossible.

The food is average at best. My burger meat was actually awful without sauce. The chips and slaw were actually pretty good though.
