One of the most exhilarating days of my life was when I got commit access to the GNOME repository back in 2005. It meant that I was being officially recognized as a member of the GNOME developer community. I felt a strong sense of belonging to something bigger.

Did the "Github generation" lose that sense of belonging with the whole profile-centric open source culture that is in place today? i.e. focus on individual karma, most popular projects are hosted as personal repos, lots of one-off contributions here and there, etc.

Even though I can probably be considered kinda "popular" in Github, I don't feel like I belong to a community in the same way than, say, GNOME or Mozilla. Maybe this is specific to open source projects around Android, but maybe this tells something about the Github-centered open source culture?

No conclusions here, just thinking out loud...

Thank you, this app is very beaultiful and elegant!

I would like to request the follow features:

1) Support to tasks from CalDAV calendars in task widget (for now supports only tasks from Google Calendar). Is there any plan to implement it?

2) Support more than one city in weather widget.

Thanks and regards!
