Just sharing this to spread an alternate viewpoint. It's very easy to see the world only through the one I've experienced, but I can accept that my experiences do not represent the whole.

For my part, I try to create an inclusive environment, and I don't like/tolerate sexism/racism/hate or crass behavior at tables I'm a part of.
On privilege and bringing down barriers

Just because we, as white cis-men, haven't seen the harassment and don't notice the exclusion barriers, doesn't mean they don't exist or happen. Until you've experienced even a tiny taste of this, you may find it hard to empathize. Once you have, the world is never the same.

The post below has a nicely worded paragraph on privilege and the bringing down of barriers for others that I'll just leave it here. Even if you're not into gaming, it's relevant to business, politics, and life.

"When privilege or power is being taken away and equality is beginning to become a conversation, that can often feel like oppression to those who are used to being in power. It isn't oppression. It's the removal of barriers for others. But suddenly those in power are aware that others are receiving, what they perceive to be, special treatment. And since they aren't able to see the world outside of their own experience, they don't understand that this isn't special treatment so much as it is removing a roadblock that was never in front of those in power to begin with."

What +Noah Ledbetter and I worked on the last few days:
- First Draft of the DW:TK Logo, AKA fun with Adobe Illustrator
- Class Hacks, polishing polishing polishing!
- Backgrounds for the *Worlds that use 'em
- Player Races for the main classes.
- A first pass at a page of Custom Dungeon Moves (specifically, a template for drawing up Circles and three different Circles that could be used.)
- An update on a few of the Essays we've written to explain how to Dungeon World.

I also have begun exploring having either a Patreon or Wordpress site to share portions of our work as we get closer to release. Especially the Essays.

What we worked on today : bonds and class hacks.

My favorite bond of the day:
"The chains [x] and I have worn left marks on us both."

Today I've been working on our "Page of Bonds". The goal is to expand the options for players in forming and expanding their bonds. This has consistently been a problem for groups I've been in. Either the bonds are difficult to form, or they are not growing in a way that's meaningful.

The page of bonds has both class-specific and generic bonds, as well as suggestions for advancing the bonds to keep them relevant. Additionally, we're working on a guide to help with bonds in use.

The goal of the Toolkit is provide dungeon world players with opportunities to play the game their way. The page of bonds fits directly into that.

What we've been working on: Class Hacks

The goal of Class Hacks will be to take the stock classes and give them a new twist, while keeping a balanced approach to the class. The goal is not to replace the stock classes, but to give some new variety. For example, we remove the musical instrument from the bard, replace it with more research/knowledge moves, and we get a Scholar.

The goal is to have at least one hack/alternate for every class, including the Immolator and Barbarian.

In the last visit, we have been looking at creating a Zealot hack for the Cleric, reducing the reliance on spell-casting and increasing the ass-kickery. From this sprang the idea of a Holy Weapon, a custom move for the Zealot similar to a fighter's Signature Weapon, though with magical properties instead of enhancements. The goal is to create a new opportunity, so making sure that the Zealot doesn't replace/outshine the fighter in fighting, or the paladin in holy protection, is key.

Class Hacks will be one of many tools that we are putting into the DW:TK.

What I'm working on:

Monster Cards!
I made a new draft of these quarter sheet monsters. The goal of the sheet is to allow a GM to quickly build a monster that's interesting and carries stats. It has slots for multiple monsters who share all the stats except for HP, and easy to stat special moves, instincts, and tags.

Progress: Completed third draft of cards. Got feedback from local game group.

Hey everyone! This is one of the projects I have been working on.

The Dungeon World Tool Kit is a series of tools meant to enhance your game. Instead of guiding it towards a set setting or play style, the tools that will be presented would allow the GM an easy way to make them their own.

I will be using this collection to share progress updates, solicit feedback, and preview up-coming items.

Thanks!

New PbtA idea, stats representing mood or stress. Are you at your best when furious, or calm?

I've got the basic framework of my super hero one shot pbta game about 60% done, I think.

Hey all, I have a Dungeon World One Shot happening next week Saturday, at 10am MST which needs one more player. It should be about 4 hours long. People new to Dungeon World and new to roleplaying in general are welcome.

I'm happy to answer any questions.

Again, I only need one player. Please respond on the event page if you wish to join.
