Why no blogroll?
It's not that I don't appreciate the words of those bloggers out there who think they know. I realize the hard work that goes into a blog such as this. That being said, none of them know. They don't understand that it's not just about the new baby carrier o...

Day 4 - Jan 27 Readings
I need to thank God more, investigate the details less, and find His blessings in my daily life! Psalm 3:1-8 I love the way David writes. I think he’s my favorite person in the Bible. Verse 3 is particularly striking to me right now. “But you, oh Lord, are ...

Day 2 - Jan 25
Continuing on, I find myself with mounting questions that aren't easily answered. Psalm 1:1-6 I am pretty sure I have read this psalm 804 times. I always start with this one when I’m going to read through the psalms. I usually only make it to 25 or 26. Nice...

Today, we meet at the polls
My wife and I made plans to meet at the polls this afternoon to cast our ballots. As I sit here writing this, I wonder what it's all about. Why is it that two juggernauts of political power and rhetorical skill spend millions of dollars to "run" a country t...

Dads and Babysitting Your Own Kids
I'm very careful with my words when I say this, but dads who say that they "babysit" their own kids are jerks. I don't know why it bothers me so much when I hear a dad say that they are babysitting their own kids. It just sounds... I don't know, stupid. How...

Day 5 - Jan 28 Readings
Many things stir up in my mind with these four passages. I'm setting in the library, crying. I think it's time for me to clear up and get back to my girls. Psalm 4:1-8 In the very few times that I have followed the Word of God, I haven’t been led astray. I ...

Day 3 - Jan 26 Readings
Writing a public Bible Journal is hard. I want to be honest, but at the same time I'm afraid that it will be picked apart. But God is protecting me and urging me to push through... Psalm 2:1-12 I am a news junkie. I could sit for days on end, reading about ...

Day 1 - Jan 24th Readings
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 This one is all too familiar. It’s from a song, one that I know very well. When I know things and have seen them, I tend to shy away from looking deeper. I don’t know why, I’ve just always been that way. So now I’m forcing myself. I have ...

Watching "The West Wing" After the Fact
Stacey and I have been watching "The West Wing" on Netflix. How does it stack up against expectations? In 1999, the furthest thing from my mind was watching a television series about staffers in the White House. I could have cared less. Now, though, I'm fas...

Bringing Down a God
There was a time when I had a financial business system in our home that could rival anything Trump or Buffett could have come up with. Now... not so much. If you've gone anywhere in public in the last 5-10 years, you've seen it: smart-zombies. It's a term ...

It's really the only gym in town where you don't feel like you need to work out somewhere else to be acceptible to the people who work out here. It's a family that sweats together. Enjoy hard workouts, quality coaching, and the pain hang over from a Leg Matrix. You'll learn soon enough that it's what they make you do in Hell before they let you in.

Mi Ranchito is a very good place for family dining. Their tamales are basically the only thing I ever get / look forward to eating. I have had the tacos, which are great as well. You can never go wrong, unless you show up when they're terribly busy. Prepare for a long wait.

My wife and I are purchasing our first home. From the moment I sent the inquiry through AmFam's website, Robert's been on top of everything. He took my initial information via SMS, ran the quotes and got them back to me quickly. He completed the review of the property and updated everything without any hassle. I'm already super happy and glad I made a change in policies and the decision to go with this local agent. I'm sure that if anything happens he'll be right there to help! I'm not saying I want a claim to happen, but I have no doubt he'll come through when we need him!
