We attended the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. awards and dinner event on Feb 6, and was really impressed with the great food that Hyatt has provided, and the GREATEST service we've had, provided by our server, Matthew (table 11). Just wanted to say thank you for the great service and the most positive experience!
Response from the owner - 2 months ago

Great ballrooms, and the rooms are very nice as well. Should put more ice machines on higher levels!

The accommodations were awesome including upgraded rooms with comfortable beds, comfortable bedding and clean facilities. However, most impressive was the service we received from the front desk, concierge and restaurant staff. The food at the breakfast buffet was so amazing (great selection and service). This is our third time staying here and our staff who have joined us twice, rave of the food and accommodations. We will be back:)

Dear Myron! Thank you for taking the time to review your stay! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit and that you had excellent service from our team here at the hotel. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Warm Regards Brandi Lasanen

Rooms are quite spacious and inviting with just the right lighting. Beds and pillows at the Hyatt are always so comfortable. Hyatt is known for in room mini-bars, but I am missing mine this trip, which is why Facilities was not rated 'Excellent'. Parking is also quite expensive at the hotel, but there are plenty of parking lots around the hotel for a bit less. Overall, Hyatt provides great value for the rate.

Nice upgrade for being a diamond member. The club lounge was closed during my stay but I was offered free breakfast in the restaurant with a food and beverage credit as well. Staff were top notch.

For over $300 a night I would have expected wifi on the room for free. $9.95 a day for wifi you got free in the lobby sucks! But the finish in the room was dated, my door to the cub board looked like it had come out of someone kitchen, even had a round mark where the old handle was but it was upgraded to a shiny silver long handle... Sorry, would stay again.... But I will add the staff were very nice...

Let me to you, this hotel has been such a delight that next time I come into Vancouver I will book with them again!! The customer service was superb, with a friendly and helpful attentiveness, it made the hotel even more grand! The beds and the rooms were fabulous. Very thankful for the maid that came in daily and cleaned up the room nicely ! The elevators were awesome, with its high tech touch screen, it certainly made me feel like I entered a whole new world. Also, the Starbucks was a plus for me since I am in love with that place, haha. There was one night that our safe in the room didn't work and we had to call the tech/mechanical guy help fix it. He was very appropriate and he even rebuild me safe so this wouldn't happen again! It worked so much better than before and it felt more secure than those half screwed in bolts that someone did so carelessly before. One thing, that I can say POORLY about this hotel was the guest parking lot. Even if you booked your stay here, if you park your car daily/overnight, the prices is crazy high. We were only there for 2 nights and the parking costs came out to be 75 dollars! It was nuts.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 week. We had a balcony on the 8th floor which faced North and the view was great. The hotel is not too far from the Robson shops, Pacific Mall, and the Granville night life. The SkyTrain station is next door so that's another convenience. My three complaints was that WiFi is something you have had to pay for (I read other reviews of nearby hotels and that seems to be the norm), parkade security, and problem resolution. My car got broken into on the last day and a bunch of little things got taken. I got in touch with the VPD and filed a report. I then notified the front desk and I was able to speak to the Security Manager at the time. He confessed that he and his team were not watching the parkade at the time. I then spoke to the Hotel Manager and they were going to deduct one day off my parking costs. I didn't want to argue or fight for more incentives but I feel like they didn't go above and beyond for me. I now have to pay $500 to get my door and window fixed and I get $35 deducted off my 1 week stay.
