Hello fuzz

This may not be the "offical" Nam theme song, course there is no such thing, and never should be, no more than any war has a "theme", however that said with 45 million
Views, I am sure you will agree it has touched a cord with many.

That would include myself who found this footage, very shortly after your download, thus I have watched it gain in popularity. Something here warrants the awe inspiring numbers of viewers.

I like to think a goodly portion of those 45 million are young people
Perhaps born before the war, we knew as Nam, have in fact, gained some tidbit of understanding the raw, dark nerve of regret and sorrow felt through out that 'tragic conflict' and the remorse and pain in it's aftermath.

I will never truly be able to grasp all the
Ramifications of Vietnam, or the wars fraught by the US during my life time, or even the war in Europe. It was indeed that holocaust of death and destruction, where
My own Dad spilled blood across four countries, shot, returned and bleed again, walking with feet rotten by freezing temperature.

However, I have held Nam vets in my arms, heard them chock back the tears, tighten the fist, and grit the teeth as they attempt to come to some resting place about Nam, their place in the chaos
And their feels of guilt and betrayal.

Your video, whereby not a masterpiece, upsurges in feelings just as powerful as observing Oliver Stone's film Platoon while Samuel Butler's haunting arrangements fill up the space of horror.

Many people of Vietnam, America and perhaps even the world,
Can gain some measure of release, hope and fellowship as they view and take in a sorrowful person's communication of acceptance, admiration and devotion. Your video honors us all.

For the third time, Senate Republicans filibustered the Paycheck Fairness Act. It’s just not right. They wouldn't even allow us to begin debate on the bill, at which point we could have entertained their amendments. Instead, they stopped the bill in its tracks.

RETURN to the Wild  book .....written by sister of Chris from the book Into The WILD
Perhaps we all have painful inflictions laid upon us by our parents, some more than others. I  believe Chris refused to let the inflictions turn to scars, the way most are harden by the pain.  Many hearts are weaken when these scars fester into bleeding sores, most often because, like Chris's father some son-of -a bitch is too fucking proud. Like the sister's
said "we all become his victim" ....dragging our hurt thru life, never finding our own truth as Chris did. May all our sorrows be hollow one day. And the soul of Chris can lead the way.

Not many go out as far as Hovenweep, it's a bite off the beaten trail.  However, I have been there and it is amazing.....esp. because it is so isolated. We camped freely along the way....in open country...no charges, no people and one of the lovely travels west! I though, am amazed at the changes, thru my life time...first saw the WEST in 1973 on a coast to coast, drove again east to west round trip, 1983, 1991, 1997, 2000.    And I met so many people who have NEVER been west of the Mississippi!    oh how unfortunate.  I remember being in southern Utah St. George area, in 1973 in spring and summer and not seeing one other traveler. Of course in 1958 I lived on the Cheyenne River Reservation, SD (Eagle Butte), and going to VA city NE in 1973, place was empty.  In 1973 on the 15th of Sept we camped in Yellowstone and not another soul was there.  Also the population in Jackson Hole, WY was around  500 people.  Someone offer to sale us a ranch there  (48 acres), for $30,000. NO didn't buy....only one of a thousand mistakes you make in life.

ps am i telling my age .....64 last week

pss i love asheville!

The canyon and mesa country north of the San Juan River in the four corners region holds many archaelogical sites where ancestors of today’s Pueblo Indian tribes lived. Round, square, and D-shaped towers grouped at canyon heads most vividly mark once thriving communities. Many dwellings stood right on the canyon rim, and some structures were built atop isolated or irregular boulders, for protection. The Little Ruin Trail at Hovenweep loops around Little Ruin Canyon with an opportunity to view several of the 700-year-old stone block structures.

Removed my prescription from Walgreens Pharmacy today. A pharmacy should have one priority: to dispense physician's ordered medication, with correct dosage, route and side effects. Most importantly the medication should be given to the CORRECT PERSON. Three times this corporate drug store has mistaken me for another customer with my name. It is most disconcerting, one incident is understandable however repeated mistakes of this kind should rarely happen, if measures are in place to ID and eliminate such serious errors. I believe these incidents among many others made in today's market place reflect, over reaching, massive ownership fueled by corporate greed, and malice. The corporate pharmaceutics CO, overbuild greedy Pharmacy i.e.. Walgreens, and increasing centralized capitalistic insurance options are putting the squeeze on their employee's and the consumers they try to service.

Disappoint on my birthday! Drove from Asheville to a restaurant I have long looked forward to visiting. Only the thin tiny slice of blueberry pie and the home baked bread had the class and expertise I expected. The smoke trout tasted watery, and bland, which I choice not to eat. Other apps were equally unsatisfying. The beets and apples were acceptable however, the apple should have represented the apple country were were live. Where a "ham croquette" interested my palate fell flat in taste and deep fried cooking. I ate two serving of their moist perfect home style country bread, but rejected the beef fat butter for the butter only. Can you really improve on butter? ptodd

These folks know what they are about! I agreed with the comment "they are patient with beginners". Time and time again they have helped me, in person or over the telephone. My last occasion to call TQ answered the phone, on a Friday afternoon, 30 minutes before closing, stayed on the telephone with me until I got my IMAC backing up data. Can you do better than that? I recommend Charlotte Street Computers to anyone, anytime, for any reason.

I stopped by, not having had breaksfast and was shopping on Merrimen Ave. I ask for pancakes and they said they had them, also ordered cheese grits. The pancakes were not only cold, but I received one roughly make pancake, dry and the size of the plate, and a second cake > 2-3 inches wide. The cakes were made from dripping batter and had obviously cooked unevenly. And the difference in size and were too thin .. In regards to the grits, the serving was one hard spoon of caked paste, worst I have ever experience. I'll not return to HOMEGROWN ...wasn't worth the time much less the money. too bad it had a great start and could have become a treasure. ptodd
