A lot of cool stuff coming today and over the next few days!

I really disliked the HTC U Ultra at first but the more I stare at it, the more I've grown to like it.

According to Llabtoofer it's not HTC's flagship but rather seems to be placing itself as an alternative to the Samsung Note series and LG V20.

When all of the ATMs on CPUs have been updated to contactless so now I can withdraw money with Android Pay.

Add another store to the list of locations that accept Android Pay.

BJ's Wholesale Club. This time the cashier actually seemed knowledgeable about it which was really comforting given some of the rougher experiences I've had at other stores.

Overall it seems like a good 30-40% of all of the purchases I make are through Android Pay. Both my local pharmacy and supermarket use it, whenever I do ride sharing through Uber or Lyft it uses Android Pay, and even when I order food through GrubHub.

Much like using EMV (chip) cards, the best way for me to figure out if it works is to try it. If it fails, oh well. If it doesn't fail then congrats it works there! I tend to save myself the embarrassment of flailing my phone around the reader by having my card handy just in case.

The "Wow!" that people give you and the look on the face of the cashier when it does work even though they said it wouldn't is worth it.

Tumblr's changelog is always so weird but I love it.

Android Pay telling me where it can be used is one of the most useful features ever. My local supermarket has been doing a renovation for some time now and recently upgraded he payment terminals so they don't have any stickers indicating they take contactless payments. However, as soon as I walked in, my phone told me that the store takes Android Pay.

When I got to the register, the cashier told me that I'm the first person she saw use it. Immediately, the guy behind me pulled out his iPhone and did the same claiming he set it up but never knew he could use it there.

I encountered a Sprint small cell in NYC for the first time today. Apparently as part of the contract they have with the city, they are supposed to camouflage them in a way where they ain't noticeable on street level which I found to be the case.

I managed to pull a 14ms ping and 50Mbps+ down on my device with a -78dbm signal and no cellular equipment in sight. This makes finding small cells here harder than I thought it would be since I won't just see them.

Putting your phone on top of your wallet and wondering why your phone is going absolutely insane only to realize that it's because some of your cards are NFC enabled.

I had never seen a Nexus 6P in public but somehow in the span of a week I've seen 3 people with a Nexus 6P. It's actually super good looking in person.
