to see is to be

One of those fun Nova Scotia days where it rains for half an hour, then gets sunny for half an hour.. rinse.. repeat. Good for putting the transplants in as it rains after each row. And it does give some glorious dark/light skies.

ratings of traditional TV-channels are going down. People are changing their viewing habits.
The world as we know it is coming to an end.
James Bond to the rescue!
:D

And broadcasters need to think globally too. Why wait a year for a season you already know exist...

The television companies are doing what every business has tried and failed in the face of such a paradigm shift: They try to rationalize the existing models of production and selling, which means more ads and cheaper more easily produced and consumed content. And of course failing to see that that is what's driving their customers away. It's insanely hard for such companies to change their business models to the new system without being run over by their competitors. It takes a lot of time and money to change the structures, the lack of which is the key problems for them.

What's really interesting is seeing where the creative staff behind the works and the content is going to find their new business models.

Takanori Aiba

For nearly a decade since the late 1970s artist Takanori Aiba worked as a maze illustrator for Japanese fashion magazine POPYE.

The following decade he worked as an architect and finally in 2003 decided to merge the two crafts—the design of physical space and the drawing of labyrinths—into these incredibly detailed tiny worlds.

Using craft paper, plastic, plaster, acrylic resin, paint and other materials Aiba constructs sprawling miniature communities that wrap around bonsai trees, lighthouses, and amongst the cliffs of nearly vertical islands.

Here's a series of play sets that won't be debuting in the toy aisle anytime soon. Sculptor Mihai Mihu has built this fantastic and creepy nine-part collection of LEGO dioramas based on Dante Alighier...

I'm so tired, I'm feeling so upset
Although I'm so tired I'll have another cigarette
And curse Sir Walter Raleigh
He was such a stupid git.
