Before you ask, yes it's a composit of 2 separate photos.
The sky is one, and the scene is the other.
I blended them together in PS

This is still a work in progress, but it should help get you started if you're interested in shooting at night.

Black Bridge was my location of choice this morning for the Perseid meteor shower. This location is special because it's celebrating it's 100th Birthday.
It was predicted to be a good showing and it did not disappoint!
What better way to have a birthday then with fireworks?

I wonder how many millions of people never get to see sights like this???

Shooting the night sky has a way of bringing peace to an otherwise hectic life.....

A quick edit from last night. This was the first time since the lunar eclipse that I was actually able to get out and shoot. On a side note my county has switched to LED shielded lights I think I'm already seeing the difference.
Show me your light.

This is the first time I have gone out shooting at night since the lunar eclipse in September! It felt really good to have the equipment out taking images of the night sky!
note to self.... get out more

I hope you enjoy the image as much as I enjoyed taking it.

I've posted this tutorial in the past, but since I've migrated it to my newer site, I thought I'd share it again.
