 Old Grey farmhouse flagstone

Location: Lugwardine, Herefordshire.

Date: November 2012.

Project Description: Contemporary extension on the end of a brick 19th Century barn.

Flooring Specification: Mixing old with new.

Floor Fitted: White-Hall Flooring

A contemporary extension on the end of a brick 19th Century barn. The consistant colour of the Old grey limestone flagstones suited the requirement of mixing old with new.

The consistant colour giving a more contemporary feel, whilst the tumbled and aged surface also offered a traditional look.

Old farmhouse green flagstone 

Location: Craswall, Herefordshire.

Date: December 2012.

Project Description: A new build of a traditional Herefordshire farmhouse, using a combination of natural building stone and oak beams.

Flooring Specification: Compliment the traditional style of the home using traditional flagstones.

Floor Fitted: White-Hall Flooring

A new build of a traditional Herefordshire farmhouse, using a combination of natural building stone and oak beams.

The old famhouse green flagstones in the random lengths perfectly suited the style of the house, and was used in the kitchen, back hallway, utility, cloakroom, and a downstairs bedroom.

tumbled and filled travertine flooring

Location: Presteigne, Powys.

Date: December 2012.

Project Description: Refurbishment of an old farmhouse kitchen, leading into a new extension.

Flooring Specification: A large tile, sympathietic to the rigours of a working farm.

Floor Fitted: White-Hall Flooring

The customer was looking for a large tile, sympathietic to the rigours of a working farm, with a warm rustic feel, but light enough not to be to oppressive in the old kitchen.

The Large tiles of the tumbled and filled travertine worked ideally to this end.

Black Slate Tiles - Hereford

Location: Rowlestone – Herefordshire.

Date: December 2012.

Project Description:An extension running off an old traditional country house.

Flooring Specification:A traditional looking stone for a very old Herefordshire stone built country house.

Floor Fitted: White-Hall Flooring

The customer required a traditional looking stone for a very old Herefordshire stone built country house.

An extension has recently added and the stone was to run from the extension into the older part of the house.

The natural historical significance of blck slate, plus its classical looks ended up being the tile of choice.

Large tile sizes were chosen to better replicate an old slate floor.

Flagstones

Location: Hereford – Herefordshire.

Date: January 2013.

Project Description:A hardwearing floor suitable for an entrance hall, in a busy family home.

Flooring Specification:An easy to look after floor, to withstand the rigours of possible flooding.

Floor Fitted: White-Hall Flooring

The customer required an easy to look after floor, to withstand the rigours of possible flooding. The flagstones was laid using Mapei Kerapoxy adhesive to help against any adhesive degradation.

Engineered oak flooring

Location: Shrewsbury.

Date: February 2013.

Project Description:A large development of barn conversions consisting total area 280m2.

Flooring Specification:Engineered oak floor 190mm x 15mm.

Floor Fitted: White-Hall Flooring

A series of barn conversions within a single development requiring a hardwearing traditional oak floor.

Each dwelling was a single story building with concrete screed over underfloor heating.

The flooring choice was a 15mm engineered oak floor, which was glued directly to the screed using Mapei P9901k flexible wood floor adhesive, and sealed with Treatex hardwax oil.

The Character grade oak flooring suited the period look of the barns perfectly.

Old Grey farmhouse flagstone

Project Description:A large room in a manor house, requiring a traditional large flagstone floor.

Flooring Specification:Old Grey farmhouse flagstone ( supplied in 3 sizes 60cm x 90cm, 60cm x 75cm, 60cm x 60cm ).

Floor Fitted: White-Hall Flooring

The project was a large room in a manor house, requiring a traditional large flagstone floor.

The customer had outlined that the room was going to be used as a general living and entertaing area, and that the floor did not want to dominate the room with to much colour variation The “Old Grey” , from our Farmhouse flagstone range, suited the room perfectly.

The time worn appearance of the flagstone, and its more consistant lighter colour, meant the room still felt light and open.

Old Grey Flagstones
