My husband and I went last night to celebrate our 11th anniversary. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed chatting with the staff. They even gave us a free anniversary dessert. Highly recommended. Not sure why some one would ever give a one star review. This is a high end restaurant and the chef makes unique food.

Went for lunch around 2pm on Sunday... really only a handful of lunch items, but ok Lobster & Burger...ok price... Very crowded seating, felt I was with eating with people at the tables next to me...very loud, couldn't really have a conversation.... Maybe that is why we waited 15 minutes for a drink and a waitress to take our order...than another 25 minutes for a salad, that never came... out comes our food which was run of the mill nothing special... If you ask me...if you want a Wahlberg experience, just go next store to grab a burger... less money same experience(crowed and loud)....Frankly...the lunch and burgers are 10 times better

had 12:30 reservation for lunch. It was not busy yet our waitress was soooooooooo slow and very unattentive. Had to wait for bread, drinks, water. Even had to wait so long for her to take our order. I had the bolonese which I have had before. I think they changed the recipe. It was flavorless and it had carrots and celery in it and no sauce at all. I think the price was $17.00 or $18.00. Also she never asked if we wanted coffee and never presented a dessert menu. We had to ask for every little thing. We had to ask for the check and it took her forever to pay!!! Guess what time we were done?? 3:45 P.M. We might as well have stayed for dinner too!!!

The exquisitely curated gluten-free menu features some of the most delicious gluten-free fare I've found to date. I'll organize my review as follows: 1) servers were overwhelming welcoming and friendly, 2) decor was cozy, modern, and stately, 3) food was absolutely amazing (recommend the Mussels appetizer, Salmon secondi entree, followed by creme brûlée), 4) priced very very well. It was well worth the drive through Quincy to get there. I'll be making this a regular stop for months to come. Definitely ranks high on my list of favorites.

I hate that I have to give this place a 1 star experience. Especially since I love Alma and the show, but we had made reservations the day before we arrived in Hingham, with every intention of dining there that night! Our plan was to go to Wahlburgers for lunch and then Alma Nove for Dinner, but we arrived at Wahlburgers later than planned. So we decided that we would keep our reservation at Alma Nove and have desert. I mean, we did drive all the way from Ohio and wanted to try both restaurants since this wouldn't be a typical dining for us. Our drive was 12 hours+. We arrived early for our reservation and noticed how fancy everything was, it was really beautiful! The lady at the front said we didn't have to dress fancy to eat there when I made that statement that I wasn't dressed real fancy. I laughed and said good! Therefore it started off great! We were seated and then a few moments later a gentleman came to our table to ask what we would like to drink. We weren't sure what we wanted so the gentleman brought us water! When I asked for the desert menu, the Waiter "assumed" I made reservations just for desert and I can assure you, that wasn't the case!!! He said that had they had known we were just having desert, they probably would have sat us at the bar or outside if the weather was nice enough! He brought us the menus and walked past our table 4-5 times and COMPLETELY ignored us. We probably waited for 10-15 minutes before just walking out. It was like we were not even there!!! Then on our way out, my friend offered to pay for the water and they said that she didn't have to. The manager even offered to pay for dinner and desert and even said something about us coming back. I told her that we were from Ohio, we weren't coming back. I also told them, to reassure them of their assumptions, that we had every intention to have dinner there and we made reservations for dinner but our plans got changed! Again - I hate leaving this place as a 1 star and I really don't think Alma would appreciate the restaurant being handled in that manner!!! At least I would hope not!!!

We had our 39th anniversary dinner Saturday night at Alma Nove, and it was such a wonderful meal. Calamari was great, husband loved his oysters. I had the evening filet special with lobster mashed potato's. Yes, I said lobster mashed potato's, yummi! Ended my meal with the apple pie. It was not your usual piece of apple pie. It was like a mini round apple pie with the crunchiest topping with excellent home made vanilla ice cream. I would absolute encourage everyone to try Alma Nove. They surpisingly have valet parking which was such a plus. Reservation are a must on a Saturday night. Luckily we were able to request and get a booth. Our waitress was so pleasant and upbeat. As a matter of fact, restaurant gifted us one of the deserts because it was our anniversary. Had a good evening. Will be coming back for sure.

Our family and friends decided to chose Alma Nove to have a dinner party for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. The hostess was very inviting and promptly seated our party. The wait staff was very attentive and got the drinks flowing immediately. They moved us on to the appetizer menu and spread them out along our very large group of tables, after they delivered the apps they took the dinner orders. We had a very steady stream of food through out the entire stay. The dinner was suburb, everybody had a smorgasbord of everything on the menu, we have a very large family thirty people in all. The service was fantastic and the food was to die for. I would highly recommend Alma Nove for any meal of the day. I wish I lived a little closer I would become a regular. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
