The atmosphere is amazing. The Caprese appetizer is mediocre. Porchini Risotto is made table side and I'm told that it was marvelous. Nested Nidi Pasta is by far my favorite. Several times, we've seen people order ice cream (also made table side using dry ice). Right across the street from Soho, this is a fun place to spot some celebrities. Remember not to stare!!

Place is amazing. Best scallops I've ever had. Staff was very friendly and professional. I can't remember what dessert we had but it was awesome as well. Definitely check it out.

Took a friend for her birthday to lunch ... they ask if it's a special occasion and the name of the celebrant. Naturally, one assumes that they ask because they do something special ... a dessert, drink, cake... in line with other high quality restaurants. What do they do??? They bring sparklers to the table and CHARGE YOU FOR THEM. We could do without the sparklers - for such a high class restaurant, to nickle and dime the customers is disgraceful, especially when they do not mention there is a charge. And the sparklers ... totally unnecessary. They should say "would you like us to bring sparklers to the table for an extra charge of $2.00" or, like other restaurants, bring a dessert with a candle. It is not the cost of $2 ... it is the principal. Don't make the offer without full disclosure - but to charge $2 for sparklers when the lunch for 2 (without drinks) is over $75 ... that is nickle and diming and totally unacceptable. On principal - I won't be going back if I have any say. The food was good ... but not great. The atmosphere is beautiful, but I am turned off.

Typical Hollywood vibe, in a lush, garden setting with roaring fireplaces. Busy late into the night. Wait staff would often overlook our table as we were off to the side and our water glasses went unfilled for a long time.

Excellent food. Slightly odd vibe in the room - it's like an old sports' hall. great bar area. Some excellent value in the wine list, if you dig around. Very generous pieces of meat. The veal chop was exceptional. I would certainly recommend this place.

Every once in a while, I get invited to a tasting with various groups. What I liked are the buffalo mozzarella appetizer and the mushroom pasta. The steak and the cobbler was great too. The nitro ice cream tasted exactly like the manager described. That is just a few dishes to mention. As the manager talks us through each course, the starters are salads with ingredients the chef went shopping for at the farmer's market fresh every day. Some of the items are raw, pickled and/or grilled. Yes, I ate a salad but what I really liked is the buffalo mozzarella which is called "Tomato & Truffled Buffalo Mozzarella Terrine" which was a clean dish and gives you that clean taste in your mouth. Pasta Course has Strozzapreti which has brown butter, langoustine, wild mushrooms in it with the pasta al dente just like how I like it. Cavatelli has broccolini, chili, salmoriglio which is also described to have cooked broccolini, crushed and infused into the dish along with whole broccolini in the dish. Both were excellent but I had extra helpings of the Strozzapreti. Shhhh, don't tell my table this part. You had a choice of the main course between Grilled Whole Branzino with salt duo and salmoriglio or Prime Rib Eye Acciugata and a side of seasonal roasted vegetables. Which one do you think I picked if I say rare as possible for service? This is where I can say we literally and figuratively chewed the fat. Great group of Yelpers to chit chat with throughout the evening while I sink my teeth right into the prime rib eye. I got one of those end pieces that has that layer of membrane next to the fat where all the flavor was. I think that made my piece a little more chewy or tough but I won't hold that against them. I'll have to order it next time I come here to explore the rest of the menu. Selection of Desserts, yes, there were many and one of my favorites that I did get to taste are the blackberry cobbler and nitro ice cream topped with mini chocolate balls. Yes, you heard or read that correct. Would you want to try it? Want to join me?

Great addition to the trendy LA food scene - the food almost takes a back seat to the stunning dining room, bar, and people watching. We came here just as it opened and they still have to get some of the details worked out in the kitchen, but have not doubt they will get there given the chef's pedigree; come for the drinks and the pretty people for now!
