Anyone interested in providing some pre-launch feedback to our new podcast "2debate" (we plan launch for Jan 5th)? It is a short form format (15-20 min) in which my friend Sebastian and I debate a motion in a compact Oxford style debate. Our first episode will be "Is it worth going to Mars?"
Here is the audio: https://goo.gl/85xWfP
I'm looking for feedback on format, intro, outro and general style.
Oh, and if you're generous with your feedback, then it would be extra-cool if you head over to http://2debate.net and tell us what you think about our artwork too... :-) Thanks a lot!

QQ: In the wake of my next podcast project I wonder what the best place for an online community would be. Since it will be a debating podcast it is just natural that people may want to continue the discussion.
Any opinion how to best facilitate that? I thought of (i) a g+community/facebook group (ii) comment section in the podcast blog (could also be an embedded fb/g+ discussion stream) or (iii) last not least a subreddit... What would you pick and why?

Hey podcasters... I'm interested in learning more about international podcast scenes. I'm fairly familiar with the US and the German scene but I try to expand my knowledge about other local scenes. Thus, I hope for the potential of the 1024 podcasters in this group ;-) : Anyone of you producing for or consuming podcasts of a country other than US/Canada/Australia and willing to share experiences or pointers?

I'm playing with synthesizer sounds lately to bring additional athmosphere and drama effects into my podcasts. This is a lot of fun and (somewhat) works, but since I'm not a musician I'm in need for some skill up to really design my audio properly :-)
Anyone in this group experienced with sound design who can point me to some resources explaining best practices? I'm looking for the type of sound you might find in audio books, audio reportage or simple audio plays...

Not sure why, but my last introduction got removed by a moderator, so I'll try again in different words and without linking to my project...

Hi, I'm Dirk and I'm a German living in Frankfurt with my family. I'm addicted to all things podcast and listen to a lot of English and German podcasts on a regular basis. Also I run a few shows myself, my current project being a (German) daily show about stories behind numbers. I toy with the idea to create an English spin-off of that one, but I'm not there yet.

Oh... well... hi! I'm Dirk, I live with my family in Frankfurt, Germany and I'm addicted to all things podcast. My current podcast project is a (German) daily show talking in crisp 5-10 minutes about interesting stories, ideas and experiences.

I'm wondering... Are there any bilingual podcast projects you know of? I'm toying with the idea to produce an English version of my (German) podcast http://anerzaehlt.net and look for others who've done it before
:-)
