Been here 3 times and never had great service. Food was meh... their shakes are good though. Gets busy because it's one of the few spots in Lakeshore East.

This is probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had. We were at our friendly neighborhood Eggy's today when our 4 year old, as always, had to poop. My wife took him to the bathroom, forgetting the wipes outside. When she tried to go back, the door wouldn't open!!! So she freaks out and asks people there to help her open the door. First nicely, but after no response, her volume starts to rise. No one seemed to care or put in any effort to help her!!! They kept trying to convince her that our son might have locked it from the inside...He doesn't do that, but does that really matter?? She needed someone to find a key and open the door. She finally gets my attention and I go back there. Still no action. Finally someones says, "I think I can get the key, should I get it?"...I stare at him in disbelief. He then casually strolls over and opens the door. As he walks back to his office, he starts smirking. It turns out that he was the manager. The situation was unfortunate and not anyone's fault. However, the lack of urgency or action and the audacity of the manager to smirk at the end took the cake! Clearly, never going back here...

Still haven't tried breakfast at Eggy's but just had lunch here for the first time, even though I'm around the area quite a bit. I had the black bean burger with fries. The burger isn't made at the restaurant, which I assume means it's one of the frozen kinds. I asked before I ordered, so I knew that going in. Still, the burger came out pretty good. The toppings made it pretty flavorful. The fries were... OK. I think there were two different kind of fries mixed in there. These thinner soggier kinds and this thicker crispier kinds which had some sort of layer/topping on them. Needless to say the crispier ones were better, but I don't know why they'd mix two kind of fries in there. Service was fine - pretty quick and attentive - refills came very quickly as well. The place is a bit pricier than it should be, but who doesn't want to save a buck or two. I think I'll definitely be back and I'd like to try the breakfast food next time as well. Hoping the waffles and pancakes are good!

This is a neighborhood staple, just down the road from my place in LakeShore East. The ambiance is great, like a neighborhood kitchen where all the locals gather. We do experience some tourist traffic when "that other breakfast place on Randolph" is filled to capacity with people waiting outside. But generally speaking, this is where the neighborhood goes for a quick, quality meal away from the bustle of restaurants that may be more easy to find. Check out Eggy's and you won't be disappointed!

Great breakfast sandwich, but everything else was disappointing. We walked in and was greeted by 3 staffs at the door, but once we sat, we waited 15 minutes just for coffee and water. The place wasn't understaffed, but was just inefficiently run. We weren't even asked if we needed anything else before our check was presented. Foodwise, aside from the earlier mentioned breakfast sandwich, the breakfast tacos were recommended by the server, but it was very bland. There were supposed to be chorizo, but we tasted none. The avocado were slightly unriped & not tasty.

Great environment and really nice people. there was a bit of a wait, but that is to be expected at most trendy brunch spots. The food was really fresh. I thought the portions were reasonable but not huge. THe food was overall great.

Eggy's hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
