Bilbao: The Gran Via of Don Diego Lopez de Haro is the principal artery of Bilbao, built in the mid-nineteenth century it quickly became the new economic center of the city and many financial institutions and offices opened up headquarters here. Luxury residences were also built to support a growing wealthy class in Bilbao who profited from industries such as banking, metal, mining and ship building. The elegant tree-lined boulevard is littered with stores, office buildings and upscale residences.

One of the highlights in 2016 was getting to collaborate with the three star Michelin team at Azurmendi for this video that captures the essence of an amazing dining experience. Just watching it makes us hungry. A visit to Eneko Atxa's kitchen is definitely something to add to your 2017 bucketlist. Voice over by the lovely Jamie E. Castro #fireworksinmymouth #azurmendi #eatandbehappy

One of the best things we enjoy about our work is getting to share local culture (and food) with visitors who become part of the Travel Basque family. A txoko meal is not just about the dishes but the people and camaraderie that blend a group together over a slow meal, prepared with the best local ingredients and a hearty dose of authentic basque character. #aupa! #TorresandTan2016

The Azurmendi experience is truly a feast for the senses. Complimented perfectly with a glass of local white wine from Gorka Izagirre vineyards. Close your eyes and you are in a garden, smell the herbs, taste the crunch and sip a crisp white. What a great way to start an epic meal. Thanks to the wonderful team at Azurmendi, Chef Eneko and Garazi Films. #michelinstar #enekoatxa #Worlds50Best #SustainableRestaurant
