I have had my slate for a few weeks now and it has become indispensable. I was hesitant to purchase it due to the high price and it is a new product. It seems that my hesitation was unfounded, the performance is outstanding with boot time under 30 seconds, a touch screen that is sensitive yet not overly sensitive, and with a 64 GB drive it has plenty of space for Windows 7, a complete Office installation, Visual Studios 2010 Ultimate, Eclipse, notepad++ and a few other odds and ends.
Using a Bluetooth connection to my laptop I am able to transfer files as needed keeping my project up to date on both systems. The keyboard that accompanies the EP121 is great to have, I use it primarily at my desk and rely on the on screen keyboard or handwriting recognition when on the move. I was surprised at how well the handwriting recognition works, even with my horrible handwriting it is able to translate with minimal errors. I tested it writing code, at first it seemed to not understand my input but after a couple of lines it worked without a glitch.
I recently reconfigured a home network to use three routers for better signal coverage and found the EP121 indispensable, due to its portability and ease of use I could quickly switch from router to router while connecting all of the Wi-Fi devices.
I was going to install the developer's version of Windows 8 to test how it works on a tablet, but as the EP121 has become indispensable to my daily life I have decided against it, I'll wait until a more stable version is released. Considering the performance, ease of use, and mobile flexibility I recommend this product for everyone but especially for IT personnel.
