As of moments ago, +Backyard Monsters (which is Viximo) has posted on their google plus page. Keep in mind kixeye creates the game, viximo is basically the distributor and controls the ingame currency; issues with the game itself are problems from #kixeye not #viximo . I strongly encourage you to view the page, give them solid responsible feedback.

That's it. I am done.. This was a disappointing end to a decent game..

Hey +Backyard Monsters..

There is a player at 85x94 (not sure which world map, the first?) who is using some sort of auto-refresher to keep not only his base under protection, but all of his outposts too.. When you try and attack him, it says that he is either working on his base or is being attacked... This message pops up on all of his outposts as well. It has been popping up for the last 12 hours...

When you refresh, you land on your main base, he has all of his outposts under protection too...

If it helps, hit Base ID is 1000069674 and his User ID is 152

He has been taking our outposts and has been under "protection"..

This was sent to +Mathew Gagnon after he asked a simple question.. I too have emailed them numerous times but have yet to receive any response..

how is it that we are expected to pay a company monies and receive no support in return?

Thanks for the post! We're trying to show kixeye +Backyard Monsters that this game DOES deserve support on google plus and that there is a community that enjoys playing it. Please share this page with anyone you know that plays backyard monsters on google plus. Tell them to add us to their circle, +1 us and show their support! Maybe with enough support kixeye will take us serious and realize they have a golden opportunity here on google plus. +Google

Like many of you, I've enjoyed playing +Backyard Monsters since it first came to google plus in december. It's come to my attention that the game has very little/if any support from the company that produces it, kixeye. This is verified by emails directly from them when I requested support for a problem in the game I was encountering.

The following is the support ticket I sent them on February 11th:

2012-02-11 14:56:25 PST - (Customer Description)
Kixeye/backyard monsters support,
I didn’t see an option to report a bug anywhere in the game nor listed on site, so I’m trying this option to resolve it as I got an auto email from support@kixeye.com saying to use this. I use google plus playing backyard monsters, name [retracted], userid: [retracted]. I’ve supported the game multiple times buying actual shiny, but since the beginning of the valentines day thing the game has been acting funny. I regularly farm the final kozu base (level 1 map room) twice a day for roughly 5million resources of each. Since the start of the valentines day thing I can only get 1.5mil twigs & pebbles from a complete farming (all towers, all silos, everything destroyed other than town hall). I’m not sure what is going on, but it’s surely irritating since I’m at a stand still for the game & this sudden bug/issue is preventing me from progressing as I was. Please drop me a message back or some response if you can explain what is going on. Yes, I’ve tried all the obviou
s clear cache etc, tried on IE, firefox, and chrome all resulting in same aforementioned problem. I have no screenshots as I didn't take any prior to issue starting, but you can look at the logs for my account & see how the resources seem to have drastically dropped ever since valentines day promotion started. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!

I'm not a rocket scientist here, but does any of this strike anyone strange? A company is making money from me playing a game, and many, many others, yet they are openly admitting to lack of responsibility for any support related to the game?

It's a great game, I want to see support for it, updates and changes made to the game like they are doing on other platforms. They make more per sale on google plus than they do from any other platform because google takes less money from each sale.

And again, today march 9th I received another random response reiterating that they DO NOT support backyard monsters on google plus, which is the same person that originally told me there is no support:

I'd like to make a call out the community that enjoys playing backyard monsters. Everyone tell Kixeye that you like playing this game and it DESERVES support, and DESERVES updates to it. A business is in business to do business; these above mentioned practices are unethical. Am I reading the above correctly? "If you have any trouble or questions, I need to contact +google games in order to resolve an issue that kixeye owns? That's indicative of contacting a volkswagon dealer for an issue with a chevy car.

I'm curious to hear the communities response.

Recently we've been experiencing a rash of glitches in the game for us players, ranging from all main bases being set to max level, max resources, max champion, to today suddenly EVERY SINGLE space other than main bases is occupied by a single person now. Again and again we try to contact kixeye, they will not response (as of yet) and they keep closing posts out.

Think of it as this way +Conrad Constantine you purchase a washer at the store, bring it home, use it for a few months and then something is defective about it. In this case the "kixeye" manufactured it, and viximo is the store that sold you the washer. Do you deal directly with the store and just return the device, or do you try to contact the original manufacturer (kixeye) because they're the ones who assembled it and are responsible for their creation?

Here's another example, the new Diablo 3 that just came out. Blizzard coded/created the game, and you go to Best Buy to purchase it. There's a problem with the game when trying to install it...do you contact Best Buy who sold you the product or Blizzard because they created it?

The point is, even though Viximo ported it, it's Kixeye's creation and their responsibility to fix any flaws in the game.

A few days ago I attempted to start posting up on the official kixeye forums regarding different issues we've all been having with the game, including lack of support, over-priced shiny, bugs/glitches in game, etc. What I got was they CLOSED the forum post out fast so noone else could respond.

Can we say trying to control public relations a bit much?
