Charles Eames was onto something when he said: “The details are not the details. They make the design.” When it comes to notebooks, Eames’ wisdom holds true....

Ooh... I bet Japanese notebook shopping was fun. Slightly more of a thrill than ordering online.

I was so excited to stumble across this website. Definitely looks like a mind-expanding time-sink. Also, 3,900 pages of Klee's notes?! I wish my German skills hadn't stopped in 11th grade.
Paul Klee led an artistic life that spanned the 19th and 20th centuries, but he kept his aesthetic sensibility tuned to the future.

This felt like really vital information today:
At first glance, alpacas may resemble their larger camelid cousin the llama, but they are quite different.

This is what happens when you purchase old properties!
As he tried to find a sewage pipe, Luciano Faggiano dug his way past a Messapian tomb, a Roman granary, a Franciscan chapel and even etchings from the Knights Templar.

Delightful profile. I'd love to eat here. I can take direction.

In a world of online design competitions and social image sharing, many architects have taken to crafting ever more extreme models and renderings for public consumption. Some have even started covering their rendered buildings, from groundscrapers to high-rises, with gorgeous-looking trees. The effect can be breathtaking, but are these designs truly green or simply a fresh form of greenwashing? The

They have my number. I almost signed up this moment, and I don't even have a house to decorate yet. Dom is resigned to my eventual subscription.

I miss those pissed off little backyard pugilists!
Hummingbirds seem to be composed of equal parts bumblebee and electron, and they sport coats of iridescent feathers so fetching, you’d think every day was Fat Tuesday. They’re the world’s smallest birds, weighing less than nickels do, and they just seem so, well, adorable. But the Aztecs had a rather...

Awesome interview with Tatiana Maslany. The more I learn, the more I like her. Can't wait for season 3! #cloneclub
In portraying a horde of clones on ‘Orphan Black,’ the actress has created TV’s strangest — and most sophisticated — meditation on femininity.
