What do you do when your horse breaks a leg? Why you just visit the nearest Bedlamite and have them place his heart in a mess of clock-work gears! Art by my buddy Mr. Angga from Indonesia!

I'm going to be getting more and more stingy with sharing the art, but I think a couple of peeks won't hurt. Well, maybe a little if you're an Indian with a bad case of "the taint". Penicillin won't clear up these cooties... art by +Todd McGowan our fav DCC Canadian!

I figured I'd throw an update out for folks that might be interested in what has been going on over the last several months. Sometimes a long span with no updates means I the project has gathered dust, but in this case the work has been steady, and the number of gringos working on it has grown substantially.

My main focus has been getting a document ready for folks to playtest throughout 2018. That is pretty much done! I'm tightening up some of the charts, and trying to throw everything into the stew-pot that a judge will need to hit the trail with his posse in tow.

The classes have been tweaked, and re-tweaked, including a start from scratch re-write of the Mountebank (think Walter White from breaking bad, only instead of meth, he's mixing up potions) which includes some amazing new "recipes" from +Bruce Cunnington +Brendan LaSalle +Danny Prescott +Jason Hobbs and +Tim Deschene (big thank you guys!). I also have artist +Todd McGowan working on a really cool funnel/1st level adventure for the project (how's that for putting the pressure on ya, Todd?)

The art is still trickling in, and I've added a few names to the list of talented hands already helping me out! +David Coppoletti has thrown his talent in the pool, and I'm in talks with Palladium artist Nick Bradshaw to work on a few commissions.

I've mentioned this before, but I'll throw it back out there. If you're interested in helping out with writing, or contributing art, please don't hesitate! I'm all ears for things you might like to see included, and +Chris Dunlap has been loading me up with great ideas!

I'll only be attending GenCon and Gary Con this year, so please stop by and say hello, or join in on a session of DT! I'm also looking for folks who might be interested in helping me iron the remaining wrinkles out, so throw me a shout if you're up for the challenge!

Cheers!

David

I have a rules question. While playtesting Dark Trails today, our Revelator (cleric) rolled in the disapproval range.

My thoughts were that the Cleric loses all abilities to heal, cast, turn, etc. and then he rolls on the table. There are some results on the chart that make me think I've been doing it all wrong.

Do the abilities stay unless the table states otherwise?

I know we're long overdue for an update, and a really big one is about to drop pertaining to a lot of areas of the Trail, but I just wanted to drop a thanks to my "posse" for being patient during our off weeks (More than any group should have to withstand) and +Stephen Newton for allowing me an early draft of his creepy Weird West adventure "The Will". It's a great adventure, and one that will work well for Dark Trails and the BPBM gang as well.

Thanks to +Kenneth Clarke +Chris Campbell +John Linton +Ken Campbell +Kathy Heatherly and +nathaniel waltersfor saddling up once again. More to come, and soon!
