There is always something new in the world of technology, and these apps just prove that there will always be a 'better way' of doing business.  Interesting, to say the least.

My dogs know when it's dinner time.  No doubt.

Have you noticed that your dog is uncannily good at telling time? Your pup knows exactly when you should be feeding her dinner. Scientists are struggling to explain why: http://wrd.cm/Uznqxt

The emotion that this photo renders is ... so subtle, yet so deep.

The new Capital Buffet (previously Crystal Palace) is a nice change from all the Chinese buffets and Golden Corral. Since they are newly opened it's hard to rate them on any other criteria besides our one visit there the other evening. We found the offerings to be plentiful, varied and tasty. The hands down winner was the beef tips in gravy and the REAL mashed potatoes - complete with lumps! The veggies were fresh tasting and the glazed carrots were to die for!! I could have eaten plate after plate of them. The individual sized meat loafs were quite tasty and the fried shrimp were in a very light batter and also very tasty. Hubby added the turkey and gravy to his plate and said it was very tasty and tender. The service was excellent - much to our surprise. In a buffet setting we've been used to passive service by employees that seem to wish they were elsewhere. Not the case here. A few tips: 1 - repaint the interior and get rid of the dark blood red walls. They are dated and depressing. Try a lighter color that will add a little cheer to the room. 2 - place cold/chilled plates at the salad bar. Salads don't belong on hot plates straight out of the dishwasher. 3 - better signage on the sneeze guards that identify the dishes beneath. I'm thinking this will happen as they get more settled with the change in cuisine. All in all - a welcome change to the area. I wish them much success and we will definitely be going back.
