Came here on a recent visit to SF and simply loved it. The line was pretty long when I arrived around 7pm on a Sunday but since I was getting dinner we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. The views of SF/the City were really great and the rooftop was packed the whole night I was there. The food is small plates and has a good mix of vegetarian and non veg options. I had the guacamole, the friend plantains and quesadilla and everything was excellent. They have a good cocktail list as well and the prices were all reasonable. A great find in the the mission!

Went here for the first time this past Tuesday. Great rooftop bar and dining area. The margaritas were excellent and the food is sensational. Definitely would come back.

Brought my family here to have dinner to celebrate Father's Day. What a great choice. My dad is quite the simple man - he likes steak/meats. However my mom typically prefers not to eat meat but since I saw there were a ton of other options I wasn't too worried. What's funny is after my mom smelled the aromas from them grilling the meats me and her split the mixed grill plate (which everyone should definitely try by the way). I would highly recommend this place for any of the following: birthdays, dates, family meals, and business meetings. When you walk in, you're instantly taken back by how HUGE this place is. You walk through a door that's big enough for your average Fiat and it's a dimly lit area where the hostesses greet you and have you wait as you check the table. However as you walk into the dining area, you see a pretty stocked bar to your right and quickly take note on how high the gorgeous ceilings are. I don't usually comment on decor/environment, but Lolinda seriously has a great intimate/romantic vibe yet casual enough for you to bring friends and family - perfectly balanced. Do note, the place is mostly dim so my parents had a bit of trouble reading the menu and seeing their food. Quick tip: -Don't hesitate to ask for some of their grilled bread and chimichurri - they charge $1.50 the first time you order it but every time there after was free (at least for me it was). My mother went through 3 cups of their chimichurri. Now on to the food (I'll just list off what we ordered and what I thought about each): 1) Ensalada de Quinoa - great, refreshing salad. My dad doesn't usually like sour things but the dressing was a perfectly balanced mint vinaigrette (you barely taste the mint but it's there). I am not a fan of quinoa but the way they made this salad was superb - I highly recommend trying it. 2) Alcachofa - my mom loves artichokes so this was a no brainer for me to order. You almost don't need the delicious lemon aioli dip that comes with it because their grill flavors the artichoke so perfectly. 3) Asado Mixto - mixed plate filled with chorizo, blood sausage, shortrib, potatoes, shishito peppers, and a flap loin steak. WOW. It's my 2nd time eating this and I split it with my mom (a woman who barely eats meat) and she actually ate a good amount of the plate. The blood sausage isn't really my thing but everything else on this plate is amazing. 4) Bife de chorizo - new york steak cooked to a perfect medium rare for my dad. I have not seen him enjoy a steak the way he did last night in so long. It was so juicy on the inside and the exterior had that perfect burned/charred crust that you wish everyone would put on your steak. The firewood used in their grill was greatly highlighted when you tasted the crust on this thing. 5) Entrana - my girlfriend ordered this skirt steak and wow don't under-estimate that 6oz size. This thing was pushing 8-9oz it looked like. She got it rare and it was perfect - the flavor of the interior was great (you can tell it was great quality meat). And the crust, like the new york steak, was to die for. 6) Acelga - considering all we were eating were huge heaps of meat, we wanted to order something green to ease things out. This kale was good but definitely wish they had more choices when it came to vegetable side dishes. Note: this side dish has a bit of a bite to it due to the chili flakes used in it! To end the evening, the restaurant must have read my OpenTable reservation because in it I noted we were celebrating father's day and they gave us an order of their flan. I love flan and I have to say this flan makes it into my top 5 favorite - definitely worth ordering at the end if you have room. We also had 2 glasses of wine which went with the meal pretty well - I'd write more but I don't know enough about wine to really comment on it with great knowledge. $200 after tax, tip, and that "SF Mandate" fee. Not a bad deal at all!

Food and drinks are fantastic. The plantains are to die for and the margaritas are delicious. The guy downstairs was an ass, but the view and the food made it worthwhile.

Pros: Food The food was great, and the portions were just right. I went with my boyfriend for a "date night," and we weren't sure how much food to order. Another waiter (not ours) was really helpful— he recommended 2-3 small plates and a half pound of the chicharrones. We got the guacamole, elote, and flautas. The guac came with cotija in it, which isn't my favorite, and could have used a bit more of a kick. It was pretty mild. The elote, however, was fantastic. The flautas were good, but they do have potato and raisins in them, which I could have done without. The main event though, the chicharrones, were ah-mazing! Crispy fried chunks of pork shoulder rolled in brown sugar...what's not to love?! We asked if there was any way to get the "leaner" pieces, and although our waitress hesitated at first, she said she would see what she could do. And she came through— we had only a few really fatty pieces, which was much appreciated. Ambience The view at this place is phenomenal. It's on a rooftop in the Mission, and on a clear day it's a great spot to see the city. Like all good SF spots, the people watching is also not to be missed ;) Cons: Service While I appreciate being able to linger over our meal and savor the food, the wait staff at ETDL borders on inattentive. Our waitress only stopped by 3 times during the entire meal— to bring water and take our order, ask if we wanted anything else, and bring the check. The place was busy, but not that crazy— we probably would have ordered more food if she had stopped by more than once. At one point, we considered trying to flag down someone else. Note: ETDL doesn't take dinner reservations (brunch reservations only), but it gets CRAZY busy. So I would recommend getting there early and being prepared to walk around for a while until your table is ready. The food, however, is definitely worth a little bit of a wait.

This place has a great ambiance and the food and drinks are all delicious. For two we had the half pound Chicharonnes de de Carne (Amazing), the guac (good but could have used a little more kick) and a chorizo skewer, probably could have done without the chorizo, as we ended up with too much food. Had the Margarita Del Techo, very good if you like Mezcal, and the Caipirinha - pretty standard. Only negative was that it was sometimes a little hard to hear the person across the table from you.

While visiting San Francisco in April, we ( three of us) thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Lolinda because it was awesome from start to finish. We started with Chiles a la Parrilla (grilled shishito peppers) and followed those with Hueso Asado (bone marrow). Both were delicious. Next, we had Trucha (mt lassen trout) which was tasty and cooked to perfection. Then we enjoyed Entrana (skirt steak) and finished with a tender, juicy and succulent Chuleta (14 oz. pork chop). We finished our evening with crispy Churros and the Flourless Chocolate Cake with caramel, dark chocolate ganache, ice cream and whipped cream. Both were delectable! To top it all off, Mia and the other servers were top notch (timely, friendly and courteous), so the whole meal came together perfectly, and that just added to our great Argentinian dining experience. We will definitely dine there during our next visit to San Francisco.

I've been here once. Had a really good time! It seems kind of hidden because you have to take an elevator up but, it leads to a pretty good view. It's mostly a restaurant with normal dining seating on a high rise patio roof but, it's also a great place to get drinks! I would mostly come here if you are looking for a pretty good look out view.
