Andy, sorry you had a poor experience with our company. From your description, I would be frustrated and mistrusting as well. Can't say that I blame you, only that we will try to do better and I do feel that your experience was not typical of our company. If you didn't register I don't know how we would have had your email to add to our system in order to send you the automated thanks for attending email, but we will work on figuring that out too.
