I'm a Dutch mum of 2 sons and we have a cat named Lola, although I'm sure she thinks she owns us... I have been living in England for over 15 years. My hobby is making miniatures and I still have years to go to fill my one and only Georgian dollshouse as I decided to make everything in it myself. At the moment my main miniatures interests are pottery and furniture making. My blog is all about my hobby.

A quick update
Hello all! A very brief post.  I'm about to start a RL building project with at the end of it a warm, light work room and a lot of other boring stuff like windows, a roof and insulated floors/walls.... This is a photo of the last lot of pots I've made. I wi...

For Drora!
Hello everyone and especially Drora! I'm still around and hope to post some new pottery soon.  In the mean time I do read blogs and comment every now and then! Drora posted about her visit to a care home.  What a wonderful thing to do!  Nowadays they make a...

The wooden slats are great! I'd love to see them in the mission den.

Love it when you show how you experiment and end up with a really good result.  I agree with the other comments, the combs are a great idea!

Like Marion, I would try this with thin veneer as wooden blinds are sooo cool, but then the real thing is available in all sorts of colors, decisions decisions!

A little table and a bit of sunshine!
It has been so dreary and grey here that a bit of sunshine through the window caught on this little table seemed the perfect opportunity for this short post. This is the table project I taught at our dollshouse club afternoons in January and February. No ti...

January Club class
A very long time ago (it seems to me) I agreed to do a class on veneering and stringing. I tried out several different tables. Some too ambitiously complicated or just to expensive to realise. I would have liked an opening hinged table with compartments, li...

Happy New Year!
Wishing everyone a great 2015! Just reminding everyone and myself what summer looks like around here! I've not been here a lot lately, but that is because I'm running a 2 session class for our club and I've been busy putting kits together. I should get the ...

Much better to do a new post and label them. You could have labels for lamps or tables or musical instruments or something like Mission furniture, or label on metal or type of wood, the possibilities are endless, as they say.

I try to have no more than 4 linked posts as that is how many posts are shown when someone chooses a label. You can set that somewhere in the design or layout of your blog (not quite sure where, sorry). You would have to display the labels like the followers on the right hand side.

New tulip vase!
Remember this? It's now this: It's still at the Almond Barn, just out of the kiln. Yolande took the pictures for me. It's about 10cm tall, the width about 2.5cm. Hope you like it! 😀  Idske
