Massachusetts dropping in rank 22 spots for business friendly states is inexcusable.  The cost of living in our state in second to only Hawaii.  We must curtail the cost to do business here in Massachusetts and encourage entrepreneurs to consider moving to our state.

For all the veterans who share their memories proudly
For all the veterans who keep in quiet contemplation
For all the veterans who never made it back
For all the veterans' families who sacrificed so much

May the memory of our service men and women live on not only today, but every day in the history of the United States of America.

Happy Memorial Day

Are you heading to Molly Bish Day today at the Eagles in Leominster? I will be heading over there for this very important day for child safety. It is a free event that can give a child the basics to be safe, while a fun environment. Come on down and let's have a great turnout on this beautiful Saturday!!!

A big thank you to Curves of Leominster on 448 Lancaster Street for inviting me to their open house. It was fun to learn about your facilities and what benefits you offer women from Leominster and the surrounding towns. It was also great to see Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella trying out the equipment. Stay healthy Leominster!

Here is a picture of my mother on her birthday last month. Nothing is more wonderful than seeing a smile on your mother's face. I am fortunate to see that smile quite frequently, and I am looking forward to seeing that smile again today.

I love you and have a Happy Mother's Day Mom!

There is nothing more American than showing up at a local church or school function and helping out the students by purchasing a cupcake or freshly made banana bread. This warms the hearts of older generations while encouraging the entrepreneurship of our fledgling Americans.

However, it looks like Massachusetts big government wants to abolish this American tradition altogether and replacing it with healthier alternatives. According to this article, the Department of Public Health and Education even wants to regulate whole milk and white bread!

I believe in healthy dietary habits, but I feel that this measure is an intrusion of civil liberties and old fashioned common sense.

Last Friday I attended the Rally For Religious Freedom.  It was very well attended and I was even asked to do an interview.  For those of us who care about our rights protected under the 1st Amendment, please be sure to check out this link.

Last Friday I was able to visit my friend Rodrigo at his 3rd year anniversary of his restaurant Comeketo located on Central Street. Rodrigo has some of the best Brazilian food in town and makes some killer sandwitches. Keep providing Leominster great meals and great service for many more years to come!

An interesting article in the S&E today where I agree with Senator Flanagan with her efforts to increase the penalties to youth who buy tobacco products. Too many times children are coddled for inappropriate actions and they must know that there are repercussions for breaking the law.

Here is a picture that was sent to me from a friend of mine in Leominster depicting his very patriotic puppy. I have to admit, this is one of the cutest pics I have seen yet!

I was able to secure my nomination papers from the city clerk's office and it looks like we have more than enough certified to be on the ballot this year! Thank you to everyone who helped out in this effort since without your help we would have never been able to reach this milestone. Now I need to head to Boston to file with the Secretary of State's Office!

It Starts In Leominster
Introduction

Welcome to the Google+ site for the Campaign to Elect Justin Brooks for State Representative for Leominster, MA.

I feel strongly that we are a driving force in Worcester County and we need to bring that Leominster pride and ingenuity to Beacon Hill.  I will fight fervently to reform the legislature that has recently seen three indicted Speakers of the House, create a friendly business environment to bring more jobs to Central Massachusetts, and to cut government waste to bring money back to municipalities like Leominster.

Please enjoy my updates and I look forward to meeting you soon!
