Well, looks like I"m stuck in a cash-flow crunch this month, so I've lowered prices to below my cost on the remaining inventory of merino wool jerseys and t-shirts.

These are versatile, good-looking garments that are so comfortable, many buyers wear them to bed! All are made of 100% merino wool, personally selected and imported by me from the mill in New Zealand. Itch-free, soft, and supple, usable in all seasons--yes, I wear my wool t-shirt through Los Angeles summers!

The t-shirts can look tailored, as you'll see in the photos, but you can buy a size up if you prefer a more "American" fit. The jerseys are cut longer in back for bicycling, skiing, or other action sports, but both look perfectly fine in a casual restaurant, bar, or office environment, or, basically, anywhere.

Use as outerwear, base layer, or simply as clothes, depending on weather and your mood. Both tops look great on men or women of any configuration.

100% merino v-neck t-shirt: $35.00 plus shipping.

100% merino cardigan-style jersey with mandarin collar: $60.00 plus shipping

The sizes and colors you see on the sales pages are all I have left. Retailers who might like to buy in bulk for their stores, please contact me directly by email at rickrise@earthlink.net.

Hey, if you've read my second novel, "Family Ties," please leave a "reader review" on its Amazon page at:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LT5OJE2

If you haven't read it, and promise to review it, I'll send you a free e-book copy; just DM me with your email and the type of e-reader you use.

And if you'd like to read it, but don't want the obligation of writing a review, no matter how brief, well, the e-book version is on sale now at Smashwords for $1.12, use coupon code RAE75:
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/664109

If you can't afford 18 bucks for a print copy of my books, or even 4 bucks for an ebook, and you have a Los Angeles Public Library card, you can read all of my books for free in either format--just go here:

http://ls2pac.lapl.org/#section=search&term=risemberg

The library will gladly send a print copy to your nearest branch.

If you live somewhere else, you can ask your local library to stock the books. Honestly, I won't mind if you do this! They are available through Ingram (print) and Overdrive (ebooks), under the following ISBNs (for print):

The Dust Will Answer: 9781312984677
Family Ties: 9781365251177
Our Own Day Here: 9781312754607

Yesterday was my birthday, and you couldn't give me a better gift than to ask your library to stock my books. I make only a pittance from library sales, but they add momentum.

And if you read, or have read, one of them, please post a reader review on their Amazon pages; you can get to them from here:

Just a reminder that I’ll be using up one-third of my fifteen minutes of fame reading the first chapter of "Family Ties" at The Last Bookstore in downtown Los Angeles. This Wednesday (January 18th) at 7pm!

May get to read more if not enough other readers show up for this open mic event.

Come on by and bring your own work to read!

Refreshments afterwards….

Trying out a new-to-me publishing platform, Scriggler, with the rough draft of chapter 5 of my new Lenny Strasser novel. Though it's not entirely self-contained like a short story, the excerpt works to give a taste of the novel itself.

Let me know what your experience with Scriggler was like...and what you thought of the sample, of course1

A new short-short story just posted on Medium: "Dinner Onstage at the Nowhere Café."
