I came to get passport photos. The printer was empty so it took them hours to refill it. Very bad and slow service

While I often go to the CVS on Dupont Circle becuase it is closer to my office, at times I go the 3-4 blocks out of my way to come here simply because it is a far more pleasant experience and I know the likelihood that the pharmacy has what I need is much higher. And now that I know this pharmacy is also 24-hour I will make more frequent visits. The store staff are very polite and very helpful. This is especially true at the pharmacy. The store and pharmacy are never extremely busy. The store stock is large for an urban drugstore and includes some fresh and an abundance of packaged and frozen food items. The pharmacist is also qualified to administer flu vaccines and can do so nearly at any time.

I grew up with Walgreens in Chicago(Walgreens HQ), and I had been waiting many years for Walgreens to open a DC store. I'm thrilled it's here--because I can't stand mediocre CVS,or worse: Rite-Aid. After being open for more than a year now, this is my humble opinion: THE GOOD: location, generally very clean, food pantry, fountain sodas, house products, 24 hrs(but NOT pharmacy YET), prices, restrooms, staff (especially pharmacists), seasonal items, souveniers, don't need card for general sale items, up-to-the minute with current hot products, pharmacy not crowded yet--waiting timed very short THE BAD: store size (should have taken the Starbucks space next door--already 5 coffee shops within 3 blocks), inconsistent stocking, pharmacy hours (only until 10pm so far), parking(urban trend for chains is indoor parking), Walgreens prescription savings card complicated, fountain/cappucino system often down(with fruit flies), individual shelves could be better lit, no liquor/wine/beer, whitewash windows. This was Walgreens's FIRST store in immediate DC area since they pulled out of Pentagon Metro concourse around 1980...locations in Clarendon & Old Town Alexandria now as well.. 2 more in the District now! hope they make larger stores than this one--surprised at small size for such a signature location. no matter what, though---Walgreens kicks CVS' filthy butt! Walgreens coming on strong in DC area...bring 'em on! Dear Walgreens: what took you so long to come back to DC??

Not even taking into account how clean and well-stocked this WalGreens is, I was so impressed by the staff! The pharmacist was polite, helpful and smiling; the manager was quick to offer a smile and help finding something; the cashier was lovely, smiling, and VERY nice. Its a huge breath of fresh air in DC to find this kind of staff and service. I have no less that 3 CVS locations within 4 blocks of my office, and 1 as soon as I get off the Metro to go home in Eastern Market, but I'll be making the 20 minute trip to the Foggy Bottom WalGreens each and every time I need to go to the pharmacy!

Have them in circles

Walgreens hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
