My experience with aamco has been nothing but amazing. Sue, Chris, Jim and all the technicians have gone out of their way to resolve any issues i have had with my vehicle. Their work ethic is admirable. My thanks to them.

This is a great automotive repair and maintenance shop with fantastic people from the top down. I highly recommend that others use this shop for all automotive their needs, even those dealer services that are required under warranty, as much money can be saved and as long as you keep proof that the work was done as required, the vehicle warranty is absolutely in place. Why spend extra when you don't have to?

OMG im an idiot to aamco I AM so sorry to have made a mistake on a review for my last review was not ment I love aamco I called jim and he made me feel like he didn't have any care in the world for anything else mattered but me and my trunk and was going the extra mile to make sure there was any thing I wanted he would do anything I mean Jim you are awesome the aloha store has made my whole family safe and at home I now know I have two stores I can go to and to the shop guys you are magic I thank you from the bottom of my heart my truck is my life and you saved it thank you fast and right every time please know that all my family loves you and thanks you guys every time we start are cars we know we are safe and its just awesome to be at the store you guys just make me feel so welcomed and loved ido very much so for the fast comfy service I get from you all and to the owner keep it up jeff you are doing a great job putting great care in to the ppl, that work for you and I just want to say thank you I cant believe how fast and good this store was but THANK YOU very much you guys are the best

I hate to go overboard but the entire experience was incredible. First, they received me and my car exactly at the appointed time; even though there was a car being worked on in every service bay. Secondly, they found nothing wrong with the car after many minutes of monitoring it with a computer. However, they went the extra mile and contacted Ford to see if there was a service update for the issue I had with the car. Ford told them that there was a service update. Thirdly, AAMCO in Tigard told me what their cost to update my system would be and that the cost may be less to get it done at the Ford dealer. They did NOT try to hard sell me on service I could get elsewhere at less cost to me. To sum it up, I didn't realize there were still automotive repair businesses that looked out for the customer first. I recommend this AAMCO location whole-heartedly. As a side note, this experience at AAMCO helped us get $12,000 for our car as a trade-in on a new car as opposed to the $9,000 we had previously been offered. Thank you for your help and since we do have a new car, it is unlikely that we will need AAMCO service, but if we do; AAMCO WILL get the business!!!

I went there to replace downpipe and catalytic converter on my Mitsubishi Evo X. They used parts that I provided. I left the car in the morning and they gave me a ride back home. Afternoon everything was installed and they send a shuttle for me. Everything was done perfectly and fast. Also I payed 2 times less than in other places where I asked for a quote. Stuff was very friendly and if something happens to my car I'll definitely come back.

O rating- On the phone the guy said they will diagnose the car at no charge and will let me know how much the charges will be before doing work on it. I got there and he said the transmission and the clutch need to be done but there is no sure way of telling me the exact amount until they take the transmission apart which would cost about $750 but they need authorization from me and the charges would just be passed on to the repair or replacement of the transmission. I agreed to it, and I was there Friday and he said it would be done Monday and that Aamco had a deal with Enterprise Rent A car for the weekend of $9.99/day. I didn't realize that Enterprise is offering that to everybody and not just a special deal with Aamco (I don't really watch commercials and just happened to glance at the TV when I heard the word Enterprise). I was not given a written or verbal estimate so I called Saturday and I didn't have a choice but to have it done or I'll be out $750 for taking the transmission apart. Monday came and the guy didn't even call me as promised so I called back. He said parts were not available so it may be Wednesday and I said he promised Monday so he needs to find one locally. He had promised to call every time I talked to him but I ended up calling him as he never called me. Tuesday, Wednesday came and the car was not ready and I didn't have a choice but wait. Finally I called Thursday and he said it is ready. I am not happy with the customer service and it's not the cheapest deal and I swear that would be the first and last time I would ever go to AAMCO (hoping that the work they have done is good and I didn't have to bring it back there). As far as the car there is no sure way of telling whether they did a good job or not, it still has noise but the guy said it's normal for at least 100 miles and it would eventually go away. We'll see and I'll write something up again. I DO NOT recommend AAMCO as their customer service sucks and not really cheap.

It's too bad that the lowest possible rating is one star, because Aamco does not even deserve that. Tomorrow will be the SIXTH time in the last two weeks that we will be dropping our car off for the same issues.. Not only has the vehicle returned WORSE than it has been checked in every time, but it was also hit by another car in the unsecured parking lot of the shop. Nothing was mentioned to my wife about the damage until she noticed it herself, while loading the kids in the passenger side. Almost TWO THOUSAND dollars later, and this vehicle is in far worse shape than we ever could have imagined. If you want quality service with no further issues, DO NOT take your vehicle to these guys! If you want to be over charged, mis-quoted on parts and labor prices, and have possible collision damage to your vehicle, all while being without a working family car in the winter months, and having a check engine light come back on after only half a day of being off the lift, than this shop is for you. I hope all of the Aamco locations do not have this same record, because I don't see how this is helping anyone at all.. HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE WORK, A BAD EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND.

We've been coming to AAMCO in Tigard for over five years now. We've seen a couple of generations of owners but we've always received excellent treatment and service. We have older vehicles and have learned that it is more cost-effective to repair the vehicles you own (and love) rather than purchase new ones. When you repair older vehicles, it's always unpredictable; sometimes it takes longer than you expect and sometimes it costs more than you hoped for. However, that's the reality of servicing older cars. There's no free lunch. The people at this Tigard AAMCO franchise have always been friendly and courteous -- and they stand by their work. If the problem is not completely fixed (or comes back) they will take care of it at no extra charge. We will keep coming back.
