We just finished a fantastic cruise, which included the fjords of Greenland. The scenery was amazing, including this view up to a glacier high above the water, among incredibly rugged mountains.

Taken with #Nikon   D700 70-300 VR lens, some post-processing in #GIMP

The Machine Cancel Society Auction will close May 19th. BUT while you are at it, check out the Military Postal History Society auction. It will close June 27, 2015, and includes several military-related machine cancel examples. I've illustrated this post with a "CPNY" marking that is in the auction.

We just finished an amazing cruise, which included sailing through some fjords in Greenland. This tidewater glacier was just one of the remarkable scenes.

Introduction
I developed software in the supercomputer industry for many years, including a stint at Cray Research. Now retired, my wife and I enjoy travel throughout the U.S. in our motorhome, and the world through cruising.

I still program in Java, and have done pro bono websites for organizations that support my other hobbies, such as postal history. I am a member of the Technical Support Committee of the American Philatelic Society.

Our retirement "work" is taking photographs during our many travels. Check the link to Flickr on this page.
