I admire you. SF is obviously an area rich in culinary wonders (and wunderkinds). I'll be first in line to savor your creations, wherever you and your knives eventually call home....
You should try and get some Endives the next time your at the grocery store. They taste a little like spicy cabbage, but not as tough....have a little twang to them.

I was born and raised in Germany and attended college in the US where I received my BA in International Business. After this I worked in International Regulatory Affairs. This is something I enjoyed but I also played in the internet world as a hobby. Once I realized that internet marketing was something I was good at and could help other people with; I decided to leave the company I was working for and do the ‘Internet thing’ full time. Now I enjoy life providing Internet services to others.
I am a Serial Entrepreneur, a World Traveler, a Gourmet Cook, and a Social Media, Internet Marketing Expert.
Living in Europe is a wonderful thing because you are close to so many other countries, cultures and people. Being the second generation after World War II living in Germany, I was very aware at a young age of the potential that a human being has. I knew at the age of 6 that meeting people from all over the world and being exposed to many cultures was important to me. I was lucky enough that my parents thought that it was very imperative for my siblings and I to become cultured and to understand the world as a whole. Due to the difference in economy in Germany my parents took 2 week vacations 2-4 times a year (which is normal). Each was always to a different country, ranging from close by (Paris, Prague, Garmisch) to other continents like Africa. I was introduced to so much when I was little that it set the pace for my whole life. I now enjoy travelling so much that I try to make it a monthly necessity. Now I have traveled a good chunk of the world and have grasped and experienced things only few have.
Traveling and Gourmet Food has been a long time passion of mine. My mother (an amazing cook) taught me all of my basic. I started cooking with her before I even started school. Once I hit highschool, ‘Food Network‘ became my addiction (like ESPN to most men). It was always on in the background. I would take miticulous notes while watching Iron Chef and spend hours memorizing dishes and learning techniques.
Foodies like me are the type of people that just want to expand our pallets just like expanding our knowledge of other cultures. Food and Travel go hand in hand, like peas and carrots
