This is the second time I have been to the summer exhibition and the lates event. This year, it was a circus theme. It was fun to see quite a few attendees wear fancy dress in keeping with the circus motif. The art itself was great, but the event, which offered many things to see and do, made it even better: the glitter make-up stand, the arts and crafts table, the circus training booth, the screen printing stand, the alcoholic candy floss, and more.... Tip: The first red phone box in the UK is near the entrance. It is the original prototype, made of wood and was the template for all later red telephone box designs.

Museums are not on a typical tourist "must see" list but London has so many Gems. Go stroll ard the RCA grounds even if you haven't got time for the exhibitions. Was here for Ai Wei Wei and it was beautifully done

Busy, bustling, full of life. Great exhibitions at reasonable rates. I go a few times a year

Fantastic Hockney exhibition, very intense and vibrant colours. Sadly the visit was over too soon. One of three places outside Italy to see a Michael Angelo sculpture.

Went to visit the Monet "Garden" exhibition which was well organised and curated. I wish I could say the same about the catering. The coffee shop on the ground floor to the left seemed disorganised mid afternoon and when we asked when they closed were told 4:30. Speaking later to the catering manager he said it was 5:30. Confusion.

Fantastic place to visit. Liked and wanted to support it so much became a "friend" of the Royal Academy. If you want to be able to go to show previews/special events and other exciting stuff I really believe it is worth it. The range of talent and exhibitions at the Royal Academy is really special. Therefore me it is "one of my go-to places" and if you are in London, please visit you will not be disappointed.
