Andy McMillin finished with a solid 3rd place podium finish at 2018 Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno race. He hopes to carry the positive momentum heading into the Baja 1000 in November.
He quotes at his social media stream a motivating expression: “Ability may get you to the top, but it takes CHARACTER to keep you there.“ Let’s see if he can apply that at the B1K

The fourth stage of the Desafío Ruta 40 brought with it good results for the Monster Energy Honda Team. Despite opening the track, Paulo Gonçalves minimized the handicap and managed to finish the day on the podium. Brabec was fourth on the penultimate stage.
Ricky Brabec climbed positions in the overall rankings with a fine ride in spite of the bitterly cold conditions that were far from the Californian’s liking. Brabec finished with the fourth best time of the day and tomorrow will seek to secure the fifth spot he currently occupies in the overall standings.
Tomorrow sees the final stage, which will be battle over very varied terrain taking in mountain track, sand filled river bed and high speed off-piste. The stage includes 200 kilometers of timed special out of a total 447 kilometer stage. The start will take place in Villa Union with the rally wrapping up in San Juan.

The Atacama Rally has reached its halfway point with the dispute of the third stage. Today, despite an hour and a half delay due to the morning fog, participants finally got away and had to tackle a total of 335.17 kilometers on the looping Copiapó route.
Monster Energy Honda Team rider Kevin Benavides, remains firmly in the podium zone with good prospects of an overall win.
Ricky Brabec posted ninth on the day and is 8th in overall standings.
o-tone of former +Baja 1000 winner Brabec: "Today was another fast day, not so much for the navigation but the only part that was tricky was going over tracks that we’d been over in the last few days. Unfortunately ten kilometers from the finish I got turned around and had trouble finding a waypoint which I thought was over to one side. Kind of a bad for me but I feel good riding and hopefully over the next two days we can get some time back and stay healthy for the Ruta 40."

The second and longest stage of the Atacama Rally, with a total of 440.88 kilometers - including 375.91km special - had the start of the special stage delayed due to the usual appearance of the "camanchaca", a dense local fog that kept the security helicopter, which guarantees race safety, firmly grounded.
US American rider and former Baja 1000 winner Ricky Brabec finished the stage as 5th and is sitting at 6th overall.

In high spirits due to his Friday night Super Test win, Alex SALVINI (I - Husqvarna Zanardo) continued to shine throughout Day 1 and took top honours in the top category (EnduroGP) and also in the E2 class. Yet he had to work hard to hold off the defending champion Steve HOLCOMBE (GB - Beta), and the pair had an incredible duel right up until the mid-race point.

Salt Lake City 450 Supercross main event video and race results. Not a race for Jason Anderson after an unfortunate first turn crash and a flat tire - the celebrating will have to wait.
Anderson finished 17th and salvaged 6 points.
Jason Anderson still leads in the overall points with a count of 338 over Marvin Musquin with 324 poins. This will set the Las Vegas supercross up for some tense racing in the final race.

Why is there not one word of empathy by the organizer SCORE Intl? Stone-walling for buddies? No good for the sport at all. Accidents - with tragic outcomes at times unfortunately happen, attempting to silence circumstances is not the way to go.
We did comment on the original post here https://goo.gl/eEpZWY. Unfortunately did #SCOREIntl not assign any importance to get out in front of these things with press releases, etc to at least acknowledge that an incident happened.
A lowlife like Mike "HoMo" Overcast is having a heyday, "our" sport is suffering and - despite the general "don't mix sport and politics" DO NOT forget the climate between USA and Mexico. There is very much a value to "Nothing and no one stands above the dignity of Mexico" and it applies to EVERYTHING Mexico, incl. 2 fatal victims of an accident.
Why is there not one word of empathy by the organizer SCORE Intl? Stone-walling for buddies? No good for the sport at all. Accidents - with tragic outcomes at times unfortunately happen, attempting to silence circumstances is not the way to go. Show at least some respect by acknowledging the situation so you do not look like the give-a-shit gringo that comes to Mexico to race in a way never possible in the USA. Very poor crisis situation management by SCORE International. For christ sake, 2 humans forcefully died - no matter who's fault, during a recreational sports event with mainly non-Mexican participants you organize and manage. Grow a spine! Our sport is better as you represent it!!!
