This episode, Adam introduces Erika to a new kind of drink, which makes Erika wonder if people in other cultures drink this concoction as well. The duo get updated about the E.T. Atari 2600 game dig from the infamous video game landfill. Adam discusses the murder two 12-year-old girls tried to commit because of their belief in an Internet meme known as Slender Man, and Erika gets amped because LeVar Burton is trying to bring Reading Rainbow back via Kickstarter.

Happy Podiversary! Podthings, the creative baby of hosts Adam and Erika, turns one year old today. Warning: this episode is BYOB/C – bring your own beer/cake.

Erika talks about the strange way Chinese teens are beating loneliness (hint: it involves cabbages). They discuss the “Hipster Paradox”, which leads to a short chat about being “normcore”, and watching two hipster related videos: Hipsters Love Coffee, and Watsky’s Kill A Hipster music video. Adam talks about his trip to Dallas, and his first time doin’ Dunkin’ Donuts. Erika introduces Adam to the controversial Danish Parliament’s election commercial, and the duo do a mini year-in-review.
