I enjoyed your video - but it bugs me when people pronounce gnome wrong - the "g" is silent - pronounced Nome.

Not to be a gamer Nazi :) And I may be wrong, knowing Linus's reputation he might have renamed it..

Nice video, Jeff.  FYI..  The "G" in Gnome is not silent.  Check out the video at time base 2:09 and hear the Executive Director of the Gnome Foundation, herself, pronounce it "Ga-Nome".  The link:  https://libreplanet.org/2014/video/

About a year and a half ago, I engaged on an admittedly quixotic project to build my own laptop. By I, I mean we, namely Sean “xobs” Cross and me, bunnie. Building your own laptop makes about as much sense as retrofitting a Honda Civic with a 1000hp motor, but the lack of practicality never stopped the latter activity, nor ours. #OpenSource

I've been using OpenSUSE for a long time and will be switching to Fedora 20 KDE. Don't know what's wrong with SUSE now days but the latest version has all kinds of video bugs.

Can't run any of the video eye candy I used to be able to - even with the proprietary AMD Catalyst video driver.

But, I do like this new version of Fedora - they did a great job!

Ring Moon, Ring Shadows at Saturn | NASA Cassini Mission
The small, dark form of Janus cruises along in front of bright Saturn. The edge-on rings cast dramatic shadows onto the northern hemisphere. Janus is 181 kilometers (113 miles) across.

The image was taken in visible light with the Cassini spacecraft  narrow-angle camera on April 21, 2006, at a distance of approximately 2.9 million kilometers (1.8 million miles) from Saturn. The image scale is 17 kilometers (11 miles) per pixel on Janus.

The Cassini-Huygens mission is a cooperative project of NASA, the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, manages the mission for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington, D.C. The Cassini orbiter and its two onboard cameras were designed, developed and assembled at JPL. The imaging operations center is based at the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
