This is most definitely my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. Although it's not in it's original location, which I understand burned down many years ago, it's is an old restaurant which holds all the class of the years it's been in business. I don't feel it's dated at all and their environment is perfectly suited to who and what they are. Their menu includes seafood and non seafood items. Although I'd probably order prime rib or fillet mignon, I had the Cioppino and the Sea Bass, and i believe a Crab Louie. They were all great, and items I'd order again in a heartbeat. The seafood is definitely the best I've had. In my opinion, it doesn't get better than what they served and how it was prepared. I look forward to having lunch or dinner next time I'm in San Francisco.

Sat at the counter and had the cioppino and a couple manhattans. Both were amazing and I loved the classic ambiance. Pricey but worth it. A meal to remember. Note: they don't take AMEX

This place is truly one of California's greatest treasures. Ever since the great Gold rush in 1849 they have been serving the best of the west to hundreds of thousands loyal patrons in the City, out of the city, to out of the country, for many generations. It will not let you down. I give it the 5 out of 5 Stars.

Awesome. Great drinks and the best cioppino I've had.

A definite San Francisco institution! I came here with my parents on a Monday night around 7:00, and we were seated right away at the bar. Exciting! Straight off the bat, I was a bit disappointed. While the menu has an extensive list of seafood, they were out of the sand dabs (what they're known for), and most of the list involved either frying the seafood, drowning it in a cream sauce, or some other preparation that would ruin the delicate flavor of the seafood itself. I settled for the cioppino, while my mom got the seafood saute and my dad got the curried seafood. All three of us were happy with our meals - the cioppino was plentiful in seafood (and the garlic bread was AWESOME), the curry brought some really interesting flavors, and the saute was perfectly buttery and salty. Of the three, that one was probably my favorite. While the food was enjoyable, I don't know that I'd rush back. I enjoyed it, but I'd really love to find somewhere that shows off the actual taste of seafood over the sauces they're being cooked in.

I have been going to Tadich grill since Andy and Danny worked there. I have been going there since. Have always enjoyed the atmosphere, the workers and eps the food. However we were just there this last Friday ( dec 18) and were treated very rude. It was busy and I have a service dog that I went out of my way to keep him out of the way. I was constantly told to move could not order a drink from a bartender because it was not her section. The wost person was the older man behind the bar that seemed to run the cash register. Than goodness the food was still good. What happened to all the great employees?

Old School seafood restaurant, with waiters wearing the classic white coats. There are tables, but the counter is also available. The seafood was fresh, very high quality and well-prepared. The Cioppino was some of the best that I have ever tasted. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality and the experience.

Tadich feels dated and is too expensive for the quality of food they serve. The cioppino was nothing special, although admittedly, my expectations for cioppinos are extremely high. Underwhelming at best, I would recommend going here once. Only once.
