"Most of the commentary from the right, but also implied in the “liberal” press, insinuates bureaucratic nightmares and Soviet style communism; while in fact Democratic Socialism, being a system of grass-roots economic democracy, is the exact opposite of the authoritarian State Socialism practiced in the former Soviet Union. It is not defined by state ownership of all enterprises; but by bringing about institutions and a society in which people democratically own and manage the enterprises in which they labor."
Senator Bernie Sanders, one of the two frontrunners for the Democratic Party Presidential nomination, is taking a lot of heat for being a “self-described Democratic Socialist.” But how many people ...

The growing wealth gap that nobody is talking about.

What are your odds of being a millionaire, do you think? One in 10? One in 50? One in 100?

If you're over 62, your odds of having at least $1 million in net wealth (your total assets minus your total debt) are relatively achievable -- about 1 in 7. But if you are under 40, your odds are low: 1 in 55.

Consumers will now have another option to choose from other than the industry’s big four: T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), and Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ). Google, with its Project Fi, has strived to make its presence felt in the wireless and mobile industries. The tech giant aims to be the leading driver of Android. Moreover, with its new effort, Google’s emphasis is on simplicity and non-confusing bills.
Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) has designed its Project Fi to appeal mobile customers, but there are certain constraints to what the service offers

What you need to realize is that Microsoft has made Windows 10 both a desktop and a cloud operating system. Adding cloud functionality means that when you run Windows 10 you'll be sharing far more information with Microsoft and its partner customers than ever before. Do you want to lock down Chrome the same way?  Why not?  Get it?
Worried sick over Windows 10's privacy settings? There's a lot you can do to lock them down, but you will lose some functionality along the way.

The tone is snarky, not a hit piece.  The charts reflect a reality we really need to think about.
Earlier this month on ABC's This Week, host George Stephanopoulos asked Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) whether he actually believed a self-described socialist could be elected president of the United States. Sanders suggested that if more Americans were acquainted with the quality of life in countries in Scandinavia, they wouldn't be frightened by the label.

The big plan the new Koch Senate is due to propose this week is cutting food stamps substantially and giving the reduced amounts directly to states in the form of “block grants.” Republicans say it makes more sense to let states parse out the reduced amounts in food stamps to the working poor, children, Veterans, the disabled, and elderly because state organizations are “there on the ground” and know what the people really need.

Just a great restaurant. The wait staff are competent and friendly and there's not much of a wait for your dish to come to table. Authentic dishes, seafood, noodles, in a deep menu that I've yet find less that interesting. Go for lunch!

Ever been to a car wash that didn't have good pressure, detergent, or robbed you by not giving you the amount of time you just paid for? Doesn't that just drive you nuts? Me too. I've never, never been sorry I pulled into Red Roof. The drive thru is just the right balance or wax and rinse too. Great car wash!

Excellent service. The dealership service department wanted over $600 to change the radiator on my car. And I'd have to leave it overnight. Terry did the job in a couple of hours and it cost half that amount. You won't be sorry. They know their stuff and they're not out to rob their customers. All I can say is -I'm very satisfied.

Phillip and his staff made me feel like I and my car repair were important to them. I got a quick and fair estimate, and it took only a few days to repair my seriously whacked up front end. They took the time to see to a couple of extras and I appreciate that. The next time I need any body work done, I know where I'm going to take it. No doubt about it.
