Hi Ilya,

I've read your blog post on Capistrano. I am not familiar with Ruby. I would like to take this opportunity to ask questions here related to your post. Here is the summary of the software components installed on the server:

Ubuntu 11.10 amd64

ruby 1.9.3p327 (2012-11-10 revision 37606) [x86_64-linux]

gem 1.8.24

Rails 3.2.13

Phusion Passenger version 3.0.18

Capistrano v2.15.5

The Rails app is working, so there's no problem with it. However, the original developer left and we could not figure out how to push updates from staging to production. We believe we couldn't just manually copy staging files into production directory but there must be a proper command through Capistrano or something else that accomplish this. Capistrano is designed to push files from "local" machine to "remote" server.  Is this possible to do this directly on the server? Your help would greatly be appreciated.
