iA's Writer Pro maximizes the minimalist text editor

In case you missed it... :)
Minimalist text editors aren’t the novel concept they once were, but iA Writer has done more than most to bring the idea of distraction-free writing to the mainstream. Since Information...

Learning to design is a never ending adventure, because learning to see, is, just like learning to speak, a wonderful voyage that never ends. A love declaration to my profession.

Why isn't there a distinction made between Apple's graphic design, which to me is kitsch (an apple with a bite out of it) and their product design which is not?

Hey,
I just read "A Web Designer on Fukushima".  I totally agree with your message (the bigger picture).  The plant failure was not caused by an earthquake, nor by poor technology.  It was caused by poor judgment.

I guess one of the things is: programmers see hackers in action all the time.  So building things "dummy proof" / "hacker proof" is embedded in everything we do.
Thinking: "no one could ever be this stupid or malicious" is a nonsense reasoning.

Why do we start the New Year again and again with a boring guilt trip, when we know that it won't help anyone? What if the resolution itself is the reason why we fail? We have the funny trait that we do what we shouldn’t do with more motivation, pleasure and esprit than what we should.

How about trying to be a bad bad boy, bad bad girl, bad bad man, bad bad woman, a very very bad bad person? Will that get us a better start?

Obviously, we need to find good reasons to be bad. That is logically and rhetorically not as straightforward as finding good reasons to be good. So I hope that you’ll forgive me some logical and rhetorical tricks in the following five minutes of diabolical advocacy of the ultimate evil: a praise of the seven deadly sins.

My dream is automatic lists, that is,  if I insert "* " in the beginning of line, the next line should have "* " inserted automatically, since the next line is, most probably, the next list item

We have just updated iA Writer for Mac, iPhone and iPad. We have been working hard to make them compatible with the upcoming Mountain Lion and iCloud features. What's new?

Roughly 33% of my excitement for Mountain Lion is based on the iA Writer updates.
