Guess what we've been invited to? Only to The House of Parliment.

We've been asked by The Chairman of The Parliamentary Review, The Rt Honourable Sir Eric Pickles, to be one of the representatives for 2018/19, sharing best practice within the accountancy sector.

Today, I also got an email from The Rt Hon David Curry advising that he will be holding a place for us, and to top it off, we get an invite to Parliament in Marcy 2019.

Many thanks for the invite, but especially to our clients and staff, for making this happen, as without them, things would be very different. We have not yet confirmed our involvement, but watch this space.

Just found out that @businessstudley #studleyonthemap crowdfunding campaign to raise over £36,000 has today reached its target and the crowdfunding campaign has been a success. It’s been a privilege to work on another successful #crowdfunding project. The level of #communityinvolvement has been huge with over 150 different backers for the project. Now the hard work really begins with the project implementation. Thanks to Stephen Marchant of Masefields Architects & Surveyors Artictects, Martin Buffery of @FireplaceTV.co.uk Ltd, Dawn Harris of ArtistsWorkhouse, Bill Acres of Acres and Acres, Sian Smith of Cloverleaf Business Development, Justin Kerridge, Warwickshire Towns Network, amongst others, for all your hard work, endeavours and ongoing support.

A quick reminder that if you are required to file a self-assessment tax return for 2016/17, this needs to be filed online with HMRC by midnight tonight.

If you've completed it already, that's one less job for today! Just remember that you need to pay your tax liability for 2016/17 today!

All of our clients that have provided details prior to today, have had their tax returns submitted, so no late night for us!

The tax return for 2016/17 tax year (06/04/2016 to 05/04/2017) is due on 31st January 2018, as is the tax and NI due, with penalties, interest and fines if you are late. On Thursday 30th November 2017, I was honoured to be invited to 10 Downing Street, and really grateful to be able to attend. We, at Integrity Accountancy Services, have worked hard to redefine the client-accountant relationship and we know that the work we do with small and medium sized business owners, adds real value to them and their businesses.

It was a fantastic day and really good to be able to meet with representatives of the government at 10 Downing Street. Government representative in attendance included the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Mr Stephen Barclay and the Small Business Commissioner, Mr Paul Uppal, amongst others.

We talked to them and other business owners about the issues that small and medium sized companies face such as changes to business rates, apprenticeships, devaluation of the Pound, Making Tax Digital and Brexit amongst other topics.

I am truly thankful and grateful for this opportunity.
