There are few people doing a better job of writing about startups than +Des Traynor and the rest of the folks at Contrast. They consistently turn out actionable content with a very high signal to noise ratio. It's refreshing actually. If you're in the startup world, you should be reading them and following their example as you write.

Radio Shack Ahem. The Shack going back to its roots? Promises to add a much wider DIY selection (Arduino, HAM radio). Should prove interesting as this community has long found other outlets for these resources (Adafruit).

I love that Arduino comes in as the number one request while Stronger Sales Force comes in at number ten. Nerds: just give us what we want and get out of the way.

Somehow I suspect +Brian Jepson is behind this.

I really like the idea of product curation. Especially on a recurring subscription basis. It's part of the new (old) wave of retail. Socks, underwear, pens, cosmetics, tea etc.

It'll be interesting to watch as sites like memberly make setting up and running your own X-of-the-month-club crazy simple.

What's that site that has a bunch of images of people's every day carry? Notebooks, pens, pocket knifes, phones, etc. Can't recall it.

Another fascinating 37signals breakdown of running a suite of A/B tests. This time for Highrise, their CRM product. Fascinating assuming you're a data/design nerd.

Articles like these are exemplars of the way the web works best. Instead of hoarding your tips, tricks and secrets away, share them with others.
