Build-Your-Own sushi, for the cheap?! Yes please! We went here for a Google Community lunch and we left with a new favorite Lunch Spot. Where else in DC can you go and get pretty good quality sushi made the way you want it, get a water, edamame and pay less than 13 dollars? Nowhere, that's where. Good luck on that hunt! I made a crazy mixture, watched the guy make it and was amazed at the nifty little roll-cutter they have! My buddy got the meso...miso...he got that soup junk! They give it to you from a machine and I was skeptical but he says it was pretty good, actually. It's a small little place but it wasn't very packed. It's clean, new, and has good food. What else do you want?

I've never been to a sushi joint where you got to build your own roll like you would at a sandwich place and I have no idea why there aren't more of them. The freedom of creation is almost overwhelming as you combine classic ingredients like spicy tuna with something fresh like pickled pineapple. The soy sauces are out of this world - I love the combo of the sweet soy with a spicy roll. They have great lunch specials and bento boxes. The quality is as you would expect from the team behind Kaz Sushi Bistro - excellent - and I look forward to repeat visits and sushi roll experiments!

Went for lunch during the BIKKURIBAKO installation. Art at lunch is a wonderful concept. I hope they continue to feature local artists. The "make your own" sushi is fun and unusual (for the US). Definitely more challenging than you'd think — I wanted every ingredient under the sun! Very creative and fun to interact with sushi in such a way. Variety of Japanese teas is delightful. The $10 lunch deal can't be beat. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can't wait to go back.

bigger than your average sushi roll using fresher than your average sushi. don't go here without a groupon or without checking scoutmob first -- there is always a deal available somewhere because on their own, these rolls are quite pricey (not unexpected for the brainchild of chef kaz).

Nice atmosphere lots of art on display. I need to give the food another try, you "build" your own sushi here and my first attempt was a dud.
