Watching the PBS documentary on Walt Disney was like being trapped in the Twilight Zone. PBS and American Experience are beyond reproach. But point after point was just completely wrong. How would a regular person know that they were being lied to? The AMAZING Bob Gurr just sent us a comment about the PBS show which I've added to the comments on today's MiceChat article, by Joseph Titizian, refuting many points in the documentary. We clearly aren't alone in our concerns. I'll take Bob Gurr and Floyd Norman's personal accounts over someone who never met Walt every time! Have you lent your voice to the outrage over the unfair treatment Walt? I encourage you to join the conversation. We intend to share the article and all the comments with PBS and want them to see that they aren't going to get away with this: http://micechat.com/111091-13-concerns-walt-disney-documentary-pbs/
Four hours to tell the story of Walt Disney… How do you capture 65 years of accomplishments and achievements and still properly tell the life story of the man behind the magic in such a short time frame? American Experience on PBS attempted to achieve this monumental task, showing the world that ...

Who really built Disneyland back in 1955? Many of your favorite attractions were really built by outside design firms. Bob Gurr, Disney legend and original Imagineer, talks about those early days and who did the heavy lifting.

I'm crazy about Epcot, but it's starting to feel stale to me. Imagination update would be good. But I'd also like to see a replacement for Universe of Energy and a new World Showcase pavilion as well. What do you think they should do with Epcot?

I love me some Ellen, and she's pretty popular right now, but I do think that something (maybe even something that follows the same concept/story) needs to be done to UoE.  The most interesting part of that ride is the preshow.  After that it's just a nice place for a really long mobile nap.

Fantastic stuff here for theme park fans. Animatronics wizard, Garner Holt, discusses the work he did to renovate and enhance Knott's classic Timber Mountain Log Ride.
Greetings, and welcome to a new installment of This Animatronic Life…and you only had to wait a year to read it!  As you may be aware, my company, Garner Holt Productions, Inc. (GHP), has been busier than ever in the past year or so, with projects in every corner of the globe for all sorts…

This show is a lot of fun and very different than other things you see out there about the parks. Keep it up Ghost Host!!!

Bob Gurr is such an amazing guy. His latest article on surviving the toxic environment of the 50's and the miniature smog problem on the Autopia at Disneyland is brilliant.
