Adding a Communication Manager role to Google+ pages

Many brands and businesses have employees who focus on audience engagement -- from posting content, to answering questions, to just keeping things fun. Such people are critical for connecting with followers, but they don't need full access to a page's online presence. Only the communication parts. That's why we're rolling out a new role (http://goo.gl/j2vhfg) for Google+ pages -- the Communication Manager -- that reflects this responsibility.

Communication Managers can post and reply to followers, as well as use features like Communities and Events. But they can't edit the Google+ page, its managers, or any connected YouTube channels (http://goo.gl/vnCbJA). This way they can focus on outreach, and page owners can limit access to key administrative functions.

More information about the new role is available here: http://goo.gl/j2vhfg. To start assigning roles, simply visit the "Managers" tab of your Google+ Dashboard: plus.google.com/dashboard.

Inspired by the write-ups from Tasting Table & LA Weekly, I had the Peruvian scallops, "clam chowdah", Dungeness-packed crab cake, the key lime pie. Normally not one to order raw seafood outside of a sushi bar, I was very fond of the Peruvian scallops. The servings are a bite each & it was refreshing & divine. While the "clam chowdah" was not as thick & creamy as I'm used to, it wasn't bad & I eagerly lapped it up. The Dungeness crab cake was one per order. It was one of the better ones I've had- compact w/ crab, subtle herbs & minimal breading. I'm a tough customer when it comes to key lime pie. In fact, I never order pie at a restaurant. I'm glad that my dining companion ordered it. It was subtly tart & sweet. The meringue was delicate. Last, but not least, I was determined to try the Duchesse De Bourgogne beer which I've noticed not many restaurants carry. It's a Flemish red ale. Its distinct flavor profile includes an unexpected sourness, chocolate & berries. It was unlike any other beer I've ever had which is exactly what I was looking for. The caveat of my experience was our waitress. She was well-informed about the menu, enthusiastic when appropriate & discreet & unassuming when need be. I forget her name but she was a petite, perky blonde. She is the epitome of a restaurant experience & really made my first visit a great one. I shall return.

I was here for an early dinner (the time slot in which most people have happy hour). I only had 30 minutes for dinner before volunteer training. I asked Kelly (if I remember the server's name correctly) if the Pollo alla Birra took a long time to prepare since I had a limited amount of time. He told me that it would take 10 minutes. Awesome! In 10 minutes, I had a plate of subtly seasoned (the taste of lemon was dominant for those who like hints of lemon). The broccoli had a garlic seasoning which was good. I loved the asiago mashed potatoes. It's not often a restaurant puts asiago in their mashed potatoes but it's an excellent idea. In terms of service, I didn't have to wait for the bill or the takeout box (the portions are generous). The coffee I ordered towards the end of the meal were put in a to go coffee cup. 2 questions: Was my server psychic? This type of upscale restaurant has to go coffee cups?! Needless to say, this has been one of the most magical, seamless restaurant experiences I've ever had and I dine out a lot. The next time I'm in town, I'm coming back to try other dishes!

I had a late night dinner at this historic deli. I say historic because it has been a part of L.A. for so long (compared to the other restaurants and buildings) that it should count as part of L.A.'s DNA. I was with a group of friends who were regulars so that waitress took care of our needs seamlessly, before we even had to ask. My pastrami reuben came w/ crisply toasted rye bread, melted swiss cheese & soft, buttery slices of tender, juicy meat. The potato salad was slightly sweet & fairly good. Comfort on a plate. I agree w/ another reviewer that Langer's in Echo Park is slightly better but this place is the next best things AND it has a bar adjacent to the restaurant to catch live music & a drink. Canter's is also closer to me. The friendly service, great food, people-watching & hours of operation have me hooked!

I had the pan fried dumplings which satiated my dumpling cravings. I might prefer the locations back near my hometown (Arcadia). However, the seating is more plentiful (it's in the Westfield Culver City mall). Also, the decor is more hip & minimalist than would normally be found at traditional dumpling eateries. San Gabriel Valley restaurant purists might even say its disorienting. This is one of the better food options in this food court & one of the better dumpling restaurants on the Westside. Service is fast & friendly. I'm so grateful that this location is here to satisfy my needs when I want to (but don't have the time) to drive to San Gabriel Valley.

I work in Studio City so this is (somewhat) nearby. They don't deliver so I would recommend ordering ahead of time, then picking up if you're on a time crunch. A lot of locals recommend it & I'm told celebs frequent this place. I had the Lobster Enchiladas w/ the usual side of rice & beans. The rice & beans were good but the lobster enchiladas were disappointing. For the enchiladas, I prefer the ones at Pink Taco. Service was friendly & the decor inside really is nice. The salsa, ironically, was amazing so that saved my meal. I actually prefer the salsa & chips here than anywhere else. I'm open to trying this place for happy hour or maybe other items for dinner.

This place is very popular for lunch. I had the Bubby's burger sandwiched between wheat bread. The Bubby burger consists of a sizeable beef patty, choice of cheese (gruyere, swiss, cheddar), walnuts & cream cheese. It was hearty, comfort food made with care & quality ingredients. If I had a Bubby, that would probably be what she would want. Service was friendly & prompt. The decor inside Charlie's pantry & selection of fine food items for purchase remind me of Joan's on Third or Dean and Deluca. There's a selection of refrigerated sodas, an eclectic mix of French condiments & chocolates, and a deli section. I'd love to return and try the popular juices & some deli items.

Knowing this is a pastaria, I I had to try the smoked bucatini carbonara. I also tried the braised octopus & cauliflower T-bone. Both were beautifully plated. The carbonara was topped with a delicately poached egg (which I recommend breaking & mixing with the pasta). The handmade pasta was al dente & straw-like in texture. The black pepper rounded out the dish & gave it a heartiness (and lingering bite at the end of each mouthful) that all pastas should have. The cauliflower T-bone consisted of slightly charred cauliflower, parsley puree, orange & olive pistou. The shape & fun presentation of a "T-bone" made me smile. The consistency of the dish achieved the middle ground between raw, crunch cauliflower & overly charred cauliflower. The parsley, orange & olive gave the dish complexity. Indeed, if I were blindfolded, I would have no idea this was cauliflower because I would be so distracted by the tingling of my tastebuds & myriad of textures in my mouth. I also had the Sangiovese wine which was very good and a great addition to the perfect meal.
